Lol now I wish I had gold filament to make one of those oversized necklaces but then hanging a big UM robot from it instead of a clock
Good for me!
-
-
As a side note: how are we going to recognise each other? I'm a lot prettier irl than on my picture, might be confusing
-
Good for me as well.
-
We will (my wife and I). I still think time wise it would be nice if for example Sander gave an indication, would love as many people as possible to join
-
I wanted to have another go but I managed to "misplace" my feeder spring, so it looks like I won't be printing anything anytime soon :/
Would love some details on the results of for example Sander and 3dcase.

Thanks Arjan for measuring it.
I got the info from the UM2 assembly guide, which still mentions the same spring as the UM1 one.
Here's me hoping silently they'll have some spare parts to purchase in London
-
According to the UM2s BoM it's the same type as the UM1 (D2110, of which I can't find much). However spare pieces for the UM1 feeder everywhere have the same spec, can anyone confirm:
- Outside diameter: 7.5mm
- Inside diameter: 5mm
- String diameter: 1.2mm
- Height: 20mm
- Outside diameter: 7.5mm
-
By a stupidity of my own doing I lost the spring that is part of the original feeder and despite all junk I have in house, spare springs are not part of that list.
Can anyone point me to the specs of the spring and perhaps a location where I can purchase a replacement?
Thanks! I really want to start printing again

2 jaar?

Guess http://mutley3d.com/Flex3Drive/ is what he meant.

My initial idea was the same but I think it's the first photo that slightly distorts it. If you look at the others it seems better. The guy also said that this is his second version and it was bulked down a lot already.

A student made a gorgeous 3D printed prostetic somewhat out of boredom. The end result is stunning.
-
Nice. I love modelers that actually think about the printability. Awesome paint job too.
-
Nice. How did you print this, as it seems the blade is not touching the buildplate. Support?
-
question is... do I mean your user photo ?... or your prints ! LOL
Ian you naughty dog

I did and for my UM2 it doesn't go so well..
I usually print at 50mm/s so 0.2 shouldn't even come near the limit extrusion wise.
At 0.15+ for me the fill lines stop touching.
I don't know if this is some problem specific to my printer. According to Roberts guide this should be related to the short belts' tension but the provided solution hasn't helped me.
-
Randy: Keep us appraised if you want. I have the same problem with mine (not with the buildplate but with the cube'ishness).
-
-
Als iedereen nu eens naamkaartjes gehad had hé!
-
anon4321: My guess it's because the screws don't end in a flat part but slightly dome shaped.
-
