Need to split an object into 2 part and save the gcode .
gpb01 replied to protoverse's topic in UltiMaker Cura
Mmm ... both links do not seem to work ... Anyway .. NetFabb free edition can easily split an object in many parts (just few clicks) and you can save each part as .stl to next produce separated GCode ... Guglielmo EDIT: Look THIS thread for "how to do" ... -
From one day to another the price is twice

I don't know the quality ... but look HERE ... ... and, if on the same site you search for "Ultimaker 2" ... jump out many products ... Guglielmo -

Delivery and Order Issues - Poor Support & Service
gpb01 replied to designpro-ltd's topic in Buying or selling your UltiMaker
Hi Sander, me too I'm waiting for an order of ONLY spare parts paid and "ready to ship" from 1 Dec ... Order R673373486 ! For spare parts, "ready to ship" it's really an unacceptable delay !!! Guglielmo P.S. : See also ticket #TIO-767-37482 -
Worse, the whole history of my orders is lost ... They have changed the login system with ... catastrophic results ! Guglielmo P.S. : Me too have an open order and ... I can't see if is shipped or not ... P.P.S. : To login go to the "Store" ... probably you have to reset your password

I'm using both Cura and the firmware 14.12-RC10 and I don't have problems (... I don't use plugins, so ... I don't know with plugins). I'm printing now for over 6 hours at 200° (... and I have 10 hours more) ... all is ok and the temperature is much more stable than with previous versions Guglielmo

.. I use acupuncture needles of 0,3mm ... they are very good and on eBay you can easily find them Guglielmo
-
... Also the "Change Material" doesn't work well ... at the end you can't choose PLA or ABS but ... only another material Moving back to the firmware 14.07 Guglielmo

Hi Daid, just installed the firmware that is included into the 14.12-RC9 and made a print. The model is printed correctly, the bed is lowered, but, instead of indicating the temperature and cooling I received this error message : ... mmm ... error code zero ... I don't think is an error Guglielmo
-
Hi Daid, I always forgot to report a very small problem which I think is appeared starting from 14.09 ... When you choose to save to your GCode on the disk (File -> Save GCode) the proposed directory (field Where) is still the same (on OS X ~/Documents) and doesn't remember the previously selected folder as was up to 14.07. Obviously is not a big problem, but ... Guglielmo

Dividing a Large Print into Several Smaller Prints
gpb01 replied to printerfan's topic in UltiMaker Cura
Yes, to cut and keep one side ... but to cut and have two parts ... is not so straightforward (or, at least, I have not found how to do it with a few clicks) Guglielmo -

Have you put in place the "Fan Heat Shield" ? Because otherwise is normal ... For my UM2 I use THIS one (modification of the one you used) and with the alu shield (taken from a can of beer) I have NO problems Guglielmo -
You can get the UM2 Power Supply from Mouser (www.mouser.com) ... search, in their website, for Mouser No: 709-GS220A24-R7B Guglielmo

Yes Chris. I have printed twice, still with the same orientation, just to test differente resolutions (0.1 and 0.06) and, both times, I had no problems But I agree that "ZETOFF" logo would be nicer and less intrusive if smaller and in one corner Guglielmo
-
Hi Chris, printed without any problem and without any support rotated 90° (bottom touching the heated bed) in high resolution (layer 0.06 mm) Guglielmo

Guglielmo

Yes, true, the same here ... :( Guglielmo
