  1. Mine is back up & running, so I'm going for another 80 hours
  2. yep the model had massive retractions imo.... this was the model : http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:919475 I tried it 3 times with no luck :(
  3. I changed the coupler this morning anyway (couldn't see anything wrong on the other one though...), loaded a new (other) model on the printer and changed the filament keep you posted
  4. Hey guys, I was wondering, how many hours per week is your UM printing? On an averaged base of course. There are 7 X 24 = 168 hours per week, I would say that my UM2 is printing at least 80 hours per week. (when I don't have any issues with my precious of course..., like now) How many hours is your printer working on a average weekly basis? Post-processing and or slicing are not counted in the average hours per week.
  6. this is what's happening (sorry for the bad image, that's because of the plexi door) this video is from today after trying some tips of here above...
  7. I've had troubles with my feeder from the start, the white indicator was in the middle but that cause the feeder to "glock" when I was printing fast. (I have the low friction spool holder with bearings). So now my white indicator is back on top on the feeder and I gave it another try. I didn't print successfully with this particular roll but I'm using PLA colorfabb all the time. But I changed it to a used roll now just to make sure indeed.
  8. hey, I opened up the printer to check the coupler and it was still crystal white as expected. How exactly do I do that friction test?
  9. It's a DupTef Coupler combined with an “I2K” – Insulator from 3Dsolex (http://3dsolex.com/teflon-replacements) I'm using and it's not very old, my guess would be 100 print hours max with it...
  10. hello, I got a strange problem with my UM2 now... The print starts perfectly each time but after 15 minutes or something the filament starts grinding and the printer stops pushing filament through the nozzle. I have no clue what this can be, I already changed the nozzle with another nozzle (0.4 mm) from Olsson (so no chinese nozzle). And after I change it, it starts printing again for a few minutes and then again it starts printing in the air and the filament is grinded again. Anybody who can help me out, I have no clue how to solve this one. I already have a nice collection of prints, but all of the sudden it's not working anymore. Thanks in advance! here are a few prints :
  11. Those timelapse movies are really awesome
  12. Do you use a dual screen? If yes, make sure the dialog window is in your viewport, otherwise you will never see it. Also upgrade you Mac for free with the most recent version of their OS, that's OSX 10.11 (el capitan) Is that Cura 15.04.2?
  13. I solved the noises and beeps from the UM2 in our office in a more elegant way. A front door in plexi and a pre-assembled top cover. I love it! Noise reduction = +50% and even more... Highly recommended when your printer is located in an office or another place where people try to work or study And even the design is still pretty cool for our office.
  14. Also, check out this link, this might be your solution
  15. Nice first prints indeed, welcome aboard avogra!
  16. strange Ultimaker never mentions this screw in their manual... when i read the bed leveling section : https://ultimaker.com/nl/support/view/17083-bed-leveling They don't mention the 3rd screw, weird?
  17. yep, the screw on the bottom in the center of the build plate
  18. hello, I noticed there is a 3rd screw on the buildplate for bed leveling. What's the use of that 3rd screw, do we need to adjust this screw from time to time?
