1. Did you got a crash dialog? You could check this to see if your config is still there: https://github.com/Ultimaker/Cura/wiki/Cura-Preferences-and-Settings-Locations
2. Try to install it on the C-Drive. We are working on a fix.
3. Do you have cura installed on another drive then C ?
4. We just updated the octoprint plugin to a new version for the 'plugin browser'. You could check that to see if you have the latest version.
5. It looked like Cura wanted to add a UM3 with a custom material for which it could not fin the profilel. Could that be possible? We fixed this in the upcoming stable.
6. Hi, From the log files we see there is still a UM2+ loaded, that would indicate the clean install hasn't removed the config folder. Could you try to zip the config folder and share it?
7. I'm also interested in why people still use 15.04
8. Are you using custom profiles/materials? With a clean install of 3.3 I can add a CR-10 without any problems.
9. The update from the plugin browser should work, maybe @ahoeben can help?
10. This was a small mistake I made (sorry) and is fixed in the new version (The beta is planned for next week).
11. I changed the text, but I can't get the link to open the folder (like the same as the 'Help' -> 'Show configuration folder'
12. Hmm, ok, so I have updated the text to include the location, any suggestions to improve it?
A fatal error has occurred.

Unfortunately, Cura encountered an unrecoverable error during start up. It was possibly caused by some incorrect configuration files. We suggest to backup and reset your configuration.

Your backup can be found in your Cura settings folder.

Please send us this Crash Report to fix the problem.

13. Thank for the video! We fixed it in 3.2.1 for some people, but also knew it was not fixed for everyone. We are still looking into this issue, but nobody in the Cura team has this so it is hard to reproduce and fix.
14. @ultiarjan can you send me the config files reinstall each time?
15. Thanks that the idea is good, of course it can be improved. But I disagree that there is no end-user though behind it. What is more user friendly? 1. Crash during startup, Cura won't boot. User has to search on the forum where to find his/her config folder and needs to delete it manually. 2. Crash during startup, you get a notification of this and we backup and reset your config folder for you. We want to go to a state were we will never crash during startup, but there are so many people who manually fiddle in their machine settings that it is very difficult to catch all errors. So for now we catch the crash and help the user. In a next release we might improve this so only crashes on the specific files are catched (for example) and in the mean time we fix the top 10 of the bugs that get reported so we become more robust and crash less.
16. And if you install the macro you can open your models directly from within Solidworks into Cura: https://ultimaker.com/en/blog/52472-ultimaker-cura-3d-printing-software-solidworks-integration-for-a-better-workflow
17. We create a zip file of the contents before we reset the configuration folder. A user can always restore it and find the file that Cura can't upgrade/parse.
18. You should ask 'Cylance'. Unfortunately some virusscanners give a false positive on Cura.
19. My latest (and last) try to fix this: https://stack.mybacklog.info/s/iQBrFQrR3DxB7ol If this doesn't fix it, the error is coming from somewhere else and you might need to wait for 3.3 for it to be fixed. :(
20. I am also running on a MacBook Pro with a retina screen:
21. Than it has to be something else. I revered all 3.2 changes in these files, but you still have the problem. In Cura 3.3 we will upgrade to Qt 5.10 which might fix this, sorry that I can't help you now :(
22. I just changed the last part of the custom settings back as it was on 3.1, last try: https://stack.mybacklog.info/s/LDltcUP2BXur7AZ
