Upgrade from UM2 to UM2+

Is it possible to upgrade from UM2 to UM2+ and what is involved in the way of parts and firmware? Thanks

There will be an upgrade kit available this month ( first quarter 2016 )

It will contain all the parts required to convert your machine to a 2+.

Once installed you can change the machine to 2+ in cura and install the 2+ firmware.

I've seen the upgrade for sale already somewhere - I think maybe I saw it in canada - at 3dshop.ca?  I hear it's involved and requires drilling holes in your printer.  It's also quite a bit of money.  What country are you in ianmellor?  Please put your country in your profile location setting.

CORRECTION 13 DAYS LATER - It's a pretty simple upgrade to perform because they have you replace the whole head as one piece and there is indeed no drilling. That was an incorrect rumor.

Well, I mounted a preliminary upgrade kit two months ago and it didn't require any drilling. I wouldn't expect this to change.

I don't think any drilling is required, there's a metal adapter plate included. It should be pretty plug and play. The job is probably comparable to many of the normal maintenance tasks... you should be a bit handy ...

That's about 380 euros (don't forget it's CAD, not USD). A realistic price for an Ultimaker upgrade...
