URGENT New to Ultimaker, need help for a print

Hi guys, 

I started a job at a university and we have a ultimaker 3. We are trying to print this piece for our project but it kept failing. I have attached some images below. First the print turned into a spaghetti ball while using dual extrusion with pva support. Because it's kind of urgent so we thought it might be easier to print with a single extruder. However, it didn't work either, the print start becoming stringy. 

 

And we need this piece for  project next week. Please help!!

Not sure if it is just the photo, but your front belt seems a bit too loose. Please check if the tension is ok and if not, check which pulley is loose and tighten the set screw.

Thank yes the front belt does seem to be a bit loose. But how can I fasten it?

And your first fail seems to happen due to the material not sticking to the build plate. Which material are you printing with? With most materials it is recommended to use an adhesive like a glue stick. Also make sure your build plate is clean before you start (no dust and no grease). The second fail seems to have happened because of under extrusion. Make sure your feeder at the back is at the right tension, there is a indicator on the side. It should be in the middle. 

It could also be that the feeder has not been cleaned in a long time and needs to be cleaned. There is a bolt with teeth in there, pushing the filament upwards. If there is a lot of residue in between those teeth it can not grip well and will give under extrusion as a result. And no soap: that prevents bonding as well.

 

Clean with whatever means you need, then with isopropyl alcohol, and then a couple of times with pure hand-warm tap water only. Rub and wipe dry with paper tissue, without touching the glass with your hands.

 

Also kinks in the filament which prevent the filament from passing through the feeder, or the filament stuck under other windings on the spool which prevent it from unwinding, can cause underextrusion.

 

I had the last one recently. So, never let the loose end go, never let it hang around, and never let it get under other windings.

Hi thanks, I checked the feeder and it is a bit dirty . There are some deep marks on the filament and I think the tension indicator has snapped off. Here are the pics below

In addition, I think both of our feeder are broken. I have spoken with my colleague and there has been previous attempt to open up the feeder but the guy who worked here before might have broken something. And  tension adjustment   on both feeders aren't working. Where can we order replacement feeder parts? We are based in the UK
