I want to use Pauseatz but no plugins appear in the Enabled plugins box.

Nothing happens when i click on the arrow down button or 'open plugin location'.

I'm in "full settings" and I use Cura version 13.11.2. What am i missing?

Did you download it? There is a good one here:

    https://github.com/Dim3nsioneer/Cura-Plugins/blob/master/TweakAtZ.3.0.py

EDIT - THIS ONE IS BETTER:

    https://github.com/Dim3nsioneer/Cura-Plugins/raw/master/TweakAtZ.3.0.1.py

You have to put it in the correct directory and restart Cura. The correct directory depends on mac/linux/pc.

I recommend TweakAtZ 3.0.1 due to changed initial conditions (TweakAtZ 3.0 does not work without special comments in the start.gcode).

    Hi,

for non moderators, non software engineers and non computer specialists ( like myself  ).

A 'how to save from github tutorial' may be useful. The above link can be saved with a right mouseclick.

But the ones from github need to be saved as .txt files, underscores have to become dots.

and .txt removed again so the extension becomes .py.

Only when it looks something like this "TweakAtZ.3.0.1.py" it works.

Does the 'Change Filament at Z' work in the 13.11/12test version (Mac) work?

I put the folder from Cura 13.04 plugins in the 13.12-test; they are visible in the plugin tab, but it doesn't do anything when I look at the layers view.

Is this also because of the G0 G1 thing?

    @ Daid:

I'm sorry, i was away for a few days.

Still very interested in what steps i should take to get the Pauseatz plugin to appear.

    I'm on a mac OS X version 10.8.5

On a mac, plugins go in ~/.cura/plugins

~ is a shortcut for your home directory: the OS will automatically figure that bit out.

So you need to create that directory if it doesn't exist. You can do this in the terminal with:

    mkdir ~/.cura/plugins

Or in the finder, you can do shift-command-g to bring up the 'go to folder' dialog, and then enter ~/.cura in there. (Files that start with a period are normally hidden in the finder, so you have to specifically ask for it). Then check that the plugins directory doesn't exist there already, and then create a new folder and rename it to plugins. Then you can put plugins (renamed to end .py, if necessary) into that folder, and then restart Cura.

    Surprise..

Perhaps it was always there and I have never seen it.

But In my ulticontroller while printing, in the tune menu there is an option, Change Filament,

Push the button, retracts filament, ulticontorller starts beeping, change your filament, prime a little bit, pudh the button again and off you Go!!!.

Perhaps I totally missed it before, but I suspect the option was a free christmas gift, came with the marlin update with version 13.12.

    Anyway, Glad with it :-P

There's a year's worth of changes to Marlin in there - and there are several updates every week. For example the "beep" sound when you use the menus is shorter - more of a click. There is this tweak zero height feature while printing thing also that's kind of cool.

    Sounds great!

@ George: could you please explain that a bit more about this tweak zero... or is there a source to get info about this?

just updated and it works great. No more calculating at what layer height, you just have to be there and push the button!

I'm still looking for a volunteer to build a separate second flow adjustment function in the Ulticontroller, for the dual extruder. Anyone ?

    Yey, it worked!

I downloaded pauseAtZ.py and then followed Illuminarti's directions creating a new plugins folder in finder.

After putting pauseAtZ.py into that folder and restarting Cura, it did appear in the Plugins box.

    Thanks for helping me out!

After printing starts - while doing the skirt - you can adjust the z=0 height. For people too lazy to mess with the levelling screws. UM1 only. Go to here and look at all the things that people have checked in:

    https://github.com/ErikZalm/Marlin/commits/Marlin_v1

Ignore pull requests and merge requests as the changes merged in will be listed somewhere below.
