@UltiArjan: I just sliced my tower test for UM2 and uploaded on YM.
Obviously, I don't own an UM2, so 'handle with care' -- I appreciate any feedback so I don't leave it there if it does not work
@Amedee, thanks for sharing the g-code, just tried on my UM2 and it's working. Was a bit surprised by the 2 towers, only expected 1 :-P I assume it's meant for testing stringing... any other things you can "read" from the test ?
FYI, I notice on my machine the temp change undershoots about 3 degrees celcius (225>220 goes to 217 and up).

-
and about your bowden, can you show a picture of the wear ?

I feel it also helps to get a more straight fillament path into the feeder.
the simpelest way to do this is to put your fillament on spoolholder not connected to the printer, and to put it a bit lower (on the floor..) although to low can also create a mess when fillament start unrolling ...
I came up with these ideas ....

I like the use of the butterfly screw on the spring tension. Can you twist it easily while installed or is it touching the wall?
Not sure if it's an actual issue but I wanted to avoid any unwanted movement so I used a locknut with printed knob ...

As i already mailed i'll like to take 2 to experiment with...

Super cool.. believe i read on twitter its bought by moma....

does someone have this "temp reduction test" for UM2 ? seems a very usefull test with every new fillament ..

guess your looking for something like this ...

don't know what material you need, but if its about resolution also have a look at the atum, I've seen some samples from the V1 and was very impressed...

and looking at the 3th picture your metal rods look rather dirty, try to clean them and ad a drop of sewing machine.

Last time i had similar lines on a cilinder shape it was a bit overextrusion.
Try print one with a little less flow...

also very usefull for printing vases and stuff, using larger nozzles is making it even more usefull;
few more links;

Ah, I see, just plain practical, no fancy guides.
Think it would also look very nice in colored or white acrylic ...
-
Nice... can you share a pic from the back to see how you guide the fillament?

Just bought a pack from makerpoint myself yesterday. Have not tried i jeg but they gave me the tip that its hard tot make i stick to the bed. And tat the best solution would be to use "cubestick" . Ordered on the web today so i guess i'll be testing next week.
Fyi. This makerpoint stuff is not very flexible...
Ill let you know my results...

Guy's please make my day and show some interest in Anders Olsson's custom heater block... really like him to get enough attention to have a batch made...
