  1.

I stated that I was printing with normal quality settings gr5. (quickprint) Isn't those the parameters that must work with Ultimaker printers?

    Work yes, work well no.

there are a lot of factors that can effect the quality of a print and sticking to the quick print settings can limit the ability to get the best results.

Normal setting will be to fast for the advice gr5 is giving.

  2. I'm not good at the artsy stuff but here is an idea anyway.

Its the Ultimaker robot that's like a transformer that turns into tools.

As Ultimaker is all about making stuff and I guess the robot symbolizes that you have a robot that makes stuff for you. So these little transformer bots turn into the tools that build the new Ultimakers. or stuff that you want to make.

I just thought of it and thought I should enter while I can but I'm sure I could come up with 8 different robots that do different things.

they start off looking normal then the legs extend down for handles and parts rotate or move inside etc..

  3. Mine turned out like that so I sanded the bottom so it was nice and flat and re drilled the hole. Months later it's still going strong. If you don't have the correct size drill bit (3.2mm by memory, but u should check) then you can get a sharp pointed knife and remove the lip on the inside edge.

  4. Some websites state 3mm filament but its actually 2.85mm, you just need to ask or read the fine print to find out. The one you are looking at has potential problems as it could end up being 3.05mm. which might work but not ideal.

I would stick to the correct size and use brands like the ones Didier Klein mentioned.

  5. When the head travels from one parts to another, the nozzle oozes slightly. This can happen even with retraction turned on.

to fix it you can put the parts closer together, speed up travel speed to 250mm/s (make sure rods are lubed with light oil), lowering nozzle temp, or adjusting the retraction settings.

I would print 2 of these parts and adjust 1 setting at a time and see the effect so you learn what changes they make.

Play in the Bowden tube can effect retraction so make sure it doesn't have any movement in the connections.

  6. Your right PM, i thought about adding some supports but went without, worked quite well. Slightly rough underside but not too bad. Printing with Bronzefill is tricky because I find that to get a better flow of material its good to print quickly, a little quicker than you normally would with standard PLA...normally i would try printing small sharp teeth quite slowy but not with this. There is a sabretooth tiger skull too... :p

There maybe something causing your flow problem. I have emptied a roll of bronzefill with no issues. printing at 100% flow and a lot of prints at 30mm/s and 190deg.

or were you wanting to print slower than that?
