  1. Yeah, sharing Digital Library projects to Teams is part of the Professional features. If you have 1 printer, it's 600USD/year

But uhh, once you get the pro, you basically get more features like the Native CAD plugin of Cura (lets you open CAD files directly in Cura) and like unlimited print job history (you normally have only 20 per pinter).

If you wanna learn more about these, let me know. I do like weekly live demos and I walk through all of the features in the Ultimaker platform! 😄

  2. Hello @WillyJo,

Do I understand correctly that you just want to be able to get the settings in the profiles in Cura?

Someone made a plugin for this. Can you try this Cura plugin?

    https://marketplace.ultimaker.com/app/cura/plugins/5axes/ImportExportProfiles

It creates a CSV file that shows all of the parameters you used to slice.

Is this something you're looking for?

Which reseller are you speaking to and do you still remember who from ultimaker have you spoken with?

  4. With regards to the material with wrong settings, do you remember with which printer type you created that on?

Can you select that printer and then check the settinsg again?

    For example:

    1. I have a cluster of both S5 and UM3.

    2. I sync my config withy UM3

    3. I created a custom material with retraction distance of 6.66

    4. I save the project file.

    5. I load it again (on loading, selecting create new material of override existing doesn't matter) Cura loads a UM3 because that's what's in the project file

    6. If I choose S5 on the group, the print settings are the default - because that's for the S5.

    7. But if I choose UM3, then I see the settings I modified.

    @ghostkeeper

  5. Cura only considers the unsaved settings as 'changes'. When you save it, and then use the "copy all changed values to all extruders" options, it will not copy it because it doesn't consider it changed.

I don't think the behavior you're expecting is intended to work in Cura. I can bring this up to the team for discussion, but I think it will be considered as a change request more than an issue.

    @maht FYI.

Is there a way to copy profile settings to the second extruder for the S3/S5. At the moment my profiles are all set for one extruder and when I dual print I have to manually copy all the settings over to the second extruder. Would be much easier to have a copy.

    Thanks

Can you try right-clicking on a setting and use the "Copy all changed values to all extruders"?

I think this answers your question.

  7. Hey @V3DPrinting , I'm really sorry about this.

I remember you from Github - I have a feeling this is related to this: https://github.com/Ultimaker/Cura/issues/6731 because you encountered this issue. Now the 4.4 may be behaving weird because of it. @nallath actually already has a fix for this, but we have to fully test it first.

Is it ok if you send me the 4.3 config folder for now?

Same as @nallath I also cannot reproduce the issue when I load the project file you attach. But - I want to eliminate any upgrade-related issues. Thus, I would like to get your 4.3 config folder to be sure that it's only because of the GH issue 6731.

Hello can’t I please get a reply when you have time on what I’ve sent you? Thanks Eric

Oh no! I didn't see this message! Sorry about that.

Can you navigate to this location? C:\Users\[your_user]\AppData\Roaming\cura and zip everything up? Can you send them to me via PM? This folder contains all of your configuration including your logs. It can help me try and reproduce what you're seeing.

As workaround for now, let's try to restore your 4.0 because that was the last version that worked for you. Did this work for both Windows 7 and 8?

    1. Do you still have a 4.0 folder in that path C:\Users\[your_user]\AppData\Roaming\cura? If you do, can you back that up for now.

    2. Install Cura 4.0 again if you have not yet re-installed it

    3. Check that you do not have Cura.exe running in your task manager (In case they are present, how many are running in the background?) and kill them all.

    5. Start 4.0

    6. If that did not work, can you remove the whole Cura folder in C:\Users\[your_user]\AppData\Roaming\. This will clear your Cura config and start you from clean install.

    7. Start 4.0 again.

    He,

I just installed the new release.

Not any crash at opening but  program freezes (« not responding »)  during  10 à to 20 seconds at each action / profile param value update, insert or delete or move any item on the build plate, record profile, etc. Loading a project is so so slow.

I do not have any of these problems with my current 4.3.0  version fortunately still active.

    Spectre, Win 10 family 64 bits, Intel I7 6500 CPU, 8Go

    Active printer : MK2

    sorry

    No need to say sorry!

    That's  really slow.

Can you send me your logs?

Can you also check what's going on in task manager? How much CPU and mem usage is Cura.exe using?

EDIT: @OUPS65 I saw that in GH, smartavionics may have a solution for you. Can you let us know if that works? If it's OK with you, I'd appreciate it if you can still send me the logs anyway. That way we can still take a look to find out what happened.

The same for me, crash at start up.

Cura 4.3 uninstall before installing 4.4...

Hello! tell me more information please! As what @DivingDuck said, I could really use info like logs files, OS .. or better yet, PMing me your config folder, see my comment here

If your crash logs are the same as the comments of this and this, we have a workaround for you and we are already fixing this upgrade issue.

@rburema - Thank you for the work around. This worked for me.

@territerriterri - Is 6989 a GitHub issue or do you track these elsewhere?

For what its worth, I like the stairstep at .1mm. Having to go 0 to solve this issue does look like the support is going to hug right up against my part.

The CURA-6989 is an internal ticket for us in the Cura team in Ultimaker. We usually put it here so if a dev or QA engineer revisits this, they can refer it to an internal ticket. 😉 I'm glad @rburema's workaround worked for you. We are going to revisit the whole support generation feature, please bear with us! 🙂

    Oh I just "fixed it" ... I removed the file C:\Program Files\Ultimaker Cura 4.4\resources\materials\ultimaker_pla_white.xml.fdm_material

(moved it to another folder) and now it works... although it is complaining of possible settings corruptions at start up and want to delete all my saved settings (no no no!)

anyhow, attache the famous ultimaker_pla_white.xml.fdm_material file here so you can tell me what is wrong.

    ultimaker_pla_white.xml.zip 1.35 kB · 0 downloads

Interesting .. hmmm, can you also PM me the whole 4.3 config folder as well please? I'd like to see where it went wrong.

Thank you for attacheding the material xml file!
