How complex are your models? If you have a huge number of faces then size doesn't matter (or maybe it does if you're scaling them from their native size). Also make sure your models are valid: watertight, no non-manifold edges, normals facing the correct way, etc.. If Cura has to be fixing your models as it goes that will cause problems.

I think I figured it out. I was looking at some forums about internet slowing down cura, and apparently cura tries to connect to web printer servers like octoprint. I am on a large wireless network be

In 4.5 we also switch to a much more extensive crash logging system, so let's hope it gives us what we need 🙂

This afternoon (I was out all day) Cura is slow and unusable. I'm going to re-test having the Networking plugin disabled because when I tested that Cura had locked up entirely and it's never done that

I am having a similar issue. Even before using meshtools, having multiple (10-20) small models loaded causes 2-3sec input delays. Massive issues with slicing large models. Cura will run up to 100% CPU usage, then drop down to 5% and sit there for 30-45 minutes on one model. Took it over 3 hours to finally slice. Sliced the same model with Orca in <15min. Definitely a massive hole somewhere in the resource allocations of this program.
Running a 13900KS with 64GB DDR5 and and RTX 4080 (no built in gfx) Win 11 current build as of this post date.
Have tried all of the suggestions in this thread no to avail.
