I've had the printers set on vacation for my hub for the past month or so (preparing for NY Makerfaire, then a bunch of other stuff through October, bronzefill launch, etc) and it wasn't super active before that. I show a 10% discount. So, I'm guessing they're offering a 10% discount as a base to everyone with higher rates based on $$ sales or some other statistic. They capture so much data, who knows what they could be using for decisions, but I'm sure it's something good.

Is it a 1 time discount, or everytime? I was thinking of joining 3DHubs and printing the UM samples for a while now, but there are so many already in my town :p

It might be better to do the Fairphone badge than the Ultimaker samples badge on 3DHubs. I didn't have one UM sample order so far. But I had a lot of Fairphone cases (I actually printed more Fairphone cases than a permille of the Fairphones sold worldwide). I could imagine that Fairphones are also sold in larger numbers in the Netherlands. ;)

In my case it helped me that I could offer a large number of colors. But the real accelerators are good reviews from real clients (I think most people ignore those from the certifications and from Marvin).

It is a full time discount (I asked 3dh at TCT show yesterday) - no idea how it is done but the highest discount is 30%! - My guess is that is volume driven, but also sounds like it is variable - and may soon be linked to your order history.

Anyway - any discount is going to be good!

You might receive it too but I got an email from 3DHubs explaining the discounts:

    • Activation order completed = 10% discount
    • 5 orders completed = 15% discount
    • 25 orders completed = 20% discount
    • 100 orders completed = 25% discount

That "could" also be region base.

It seems to be region independent. I got the same e-mail with the same numbers.
