Just a pair of Fairphone cases
By Dim3nsioneer
Printed on my UM2
- with a 0.4mm JET RSB nozzle in the Olsson Block
- at a layer height of 0.1mm
- at 195°C
- in Diamond Age PLA 'Sapphire'
The quality is better than any print made before; you actually can't see the layers... never had that before on a 0.1mm print.

see-saw holder for my daughter's summer science project
By oliverbogler
My daughter, 11, designed a 3-D shape for holding a couple of levers for a summer science project. She learned Tinkercad, and made the design herself. It is the first thing we printed on the new Ultimaker 2 extended, and it printed very well indeed.

Ultimaker Robot Guts and Maker Globe
By 3doftom
Ever wanted to know what makes the Ultimaker robot tick?
I was inspired by illustrations such as this one:
http://altjapan.typepad.com/.a/6a00d8341bfd2253ef014e8936f006970d-pi
The "maker globe" was created using a NASA satellite image maps of lights on the earth at night in order to generate the gears. I assumed that the brighter areas on the map would have a greater density of Makers, so there are more gears populating those areas on the globe. The lines in the oceans were derived from images of shipping lanes. I wanted to distill the idea of Makers working together and ideas traveling freely across the globe.
I will be sharing these models for everyone to enjoy on youmagine shortly.

Globe with gears
By 3doftom
It prints! this was printed at 30% the size of what I had originally modeled it for. I am assuming that the gears and detail will be even better at the larger scale.
I used the normal quick print settings with a couple small adjustments, like adding a Brim.

Small Base for Ikea Patio Umbrellas.
By gluetools
Rather than purchasing the large and heavy concrete base from Ikea, I decided to strap my umbrella to our balcony railing. However the pointy bottom of the umbrella tends to slide around a fair bit. I created and printed this miniature base which fits nicely over the bottom of the umbrella. Once printed, you can attach a non-sliding foam or felt material to improve stability.

Dual Printed with UMO+ MHC
By neotko
Designed for a comercial job. First test done in cheappla (16€ / kilo).
Final version will be on Colorfabb PLA+Wood
Printed using Cura without wipe or ooze shield. My custom walls worked quite nice but I can do them use much less material since the leak it's really small.
