  1. Yeah braddock, ive seen a few and often thought about printing one. I`m put off a lot of the time by the poor finishing of most of the models we see on thingiverse etc, people don't seem to care which colour or finish their models have! but..seeing that skull of yours makes me want to buy bronze fill and give it a bash!
  2. The world hears stories and watches news broadcasts of all the crazy things that happen in countries that are going through tough periods of war and fighting. Sitting in my comfy house in the middle of England though, it is also too easy to ignore or forget these stories we see. Shurik, seeing you on this forum and hearing your stories really makes it feel real though! I wish I was superman, I would really kick the world up its arse to sort all this stuff out !
  3. @Braddock that print is so cool! I need to replicate this with a TREX skull lol. Wierd, but I have this kind of inner love going on for bones :???: , especially dino`s !
  4. Your such a bully Robert, picking on these tiny creatures I hate flies though!! I catch them and feed them to the spiders lol
  5. I love it. I will print a heart gear later too
  6. Limitless, Hi The robot is not the best test print to be honest, its actually a tricky little model to print. First of all lower the bed temp from 75 ( default ) to about 60. Make sure the fans come on straight away too and slow the print down quite a bit. You will get better results by printing two at the same time aswell. Try that! PS. that`s a LOT of glue on your bed!
  7. Lieven Welcome to the forum and entering an interesting 1st post. I can disagree with anything you have said
  8. Looks great Travis. Does it work ? I must get around to printing one of those one day!
  9. Yeah it looks like the nozzle is a little high, although hard to tell properly with the PLA everywhere. Once the nozzle is a little hot, give it a quick wipe with a wet rag or paper towel and make sure its as clean as possible. Sometimes when the pla starts to exit the nozzle it can twist up a bit too, kind of sticking to the nozzle, so as the print starts watch out for this, and if it looks like its not flowing straight down grab it with your fingers and give it a bit of direction Keep playing, you`ll get there in the end!
  10. Welcome Back Ian !! Ive missed you loads.... x
  11. Yeah this is the Skirt setting, to be honest I prefer to leave this on, because it gets the material flowing nicely before your part starts to print !
  12. Hello Ritesh Welcome to the forum. When exporting to .stl, you should be given an export screen where you can adjust the parameters. The main one to change is the " Chord Height ". You should lower this value, but be aware that the lower the value the larger the file size. Always use Binary format.
  13. Didier, that`s awesome. I did something similar a few weeks ago, but mine was mainly by accident. Using faberdashery I had a small twist in the filament which I noticed as a print was coming to an end. It was NOT going to finish the print before the twist interfered. So... I heated up the soldering iron, trimmed the filament off at the point of twist and then joined an extra piece of filament using the heated soldering iron, amazingly it worked...but I had a black & blue print haha.
  14. Cool print Andwew! Looks a bit like a faberdashery gold too.
  15. Hey Chenobble Welcome to the forum. Don't worry we are all noobs around here! If you can, upload a few images of some of your prints and we will take a look. Cura`s support structure isn't the best. If you can, try to avoid support as much as possible, by reorientation, splitting the part, etc. Also take a look at mesh mixer. If you are unpatient ( like me ) then forcing the print off the heated bed is sometimes tough, even with the whack of a hammer! If you leave the printer to cool down a lot, they should just pop off quite easily.
  16. I need a drill sgt. Cos im a lazy F**ker and havent done anything, i blame the world cup lol
  17. Yeah now you just need a support material !
  18. Dim3nsioneer I`m waiting for you to create the dual extruder for UM2 now please, I`ll give you one week to complete it
  19. Can you not copy the surfaces in solidworks and then thicken/offset?
  20. Great gremlin Robert! Nice job cleaning up those supports too. I need to get into using meshmixer.
