Hi Guys & Girls Haven`t posted in a while, been busy and been on holiday for a couple weeks. Went to Barcelona for 1 week, how cool is that place! I`m sure you all know about the Sagrada Familia, google it, the crazy gaudi designed church which is a true masterpiece and still being built today! I had to take a few geeky pictures when I seen the designers working on the structural designs and 3D printing 1/20 scale models!! Awesome stuff. Had a week then in Marbella, but got some bad virus so spent most of it in bed :( Need another holiday now!! I`m talking myself into quitting my 9-5 boring job too! Scary... but just sick of the rat race! Glad to be home to the loving "weed" smell of my PLA happy corner lol

I agree that CAD software, the professional stuff like Creo and Solidworks are soooooo expensive. You also have to remember as a corporate user its often best to stay upto date on versions, so each seat you own costs approx £1500 a year for maintenance to include the annual upgrades. I have not used any of the free ones, but hopefully they are catching up a bit. It`s like all the other pieces of software I want to use, not so fussed about the costs more so the years of learning to get anywhere near intermediate user let alone expert.

I use PTC Creo, 99% of the time. Then a little AutoCAD & Solidworks. Would love to have enough time to dedicate learning new software, specifically Zbrush. I love stuff that people create with it.
