  2. Got this in an email from Imaker yesterday "To stay true to its core values, iMakr has decided to stop selling the latest generation of MakerBot (Stratasys, Inc. NASDAQ: SSYS) 3D Printers (Replicator 5th Generation and Replicator Z18) following negative feedback from its customers. iMakr will of course continue to support its existing customers who have previously purchased these products."

  11. Hi Didier Yes i have been using this little trick as i have done my fair share of fairphone cases now, i have also used it on other prints also since discovering it.. must admit i use this little trick using simply3d and not cura on fairphone cases so i can control where the z scare goes and also so i can print the bottom of the case really fast then set up a second process to slow it right down at then end to do the tricky bit...
  12. Ignace You will have to contact support to buy a nozzle from Ultimaker as they don't have them setup in the shop yet..
  13. Dual extrusion was advertised on the product page when first released, just like the WIFI is as future upgradable, Also sander promoted duel extrusion at the 3d print show (London) last year to me and said it would be here in first quarter 2014 and showed me duel extrusion printed parts.. It is also advertised on the FAQ page for the UM2 that it will be here in late 2014 (estimated) https://www.ultimaker.com/pages/support/faq/ultimaker-2-faq Don't seem vague to me But do agree it has to be a working upgrade and not half baked...
  14. Hi Sander I voted yesterday on all 5 for you, and so did my wife on all 5 aswell
  15. pause at height is working for me on latest firmware, i tried it on previous firmware and it did not work, i then upgraded and did a print and it stopped at 5mm i thought my print was corrupted and aborted it, i did this twice before i realized that pause at height was suddenly working and i had left the plugin active from weeks ago :???: If i had read the readout it would have told me, but me being me i aborted without reading the display that said resume LOL

Excellent Blizz that explains why i did not have the issue as i had already taken out the -0.13, with this set to zero i did not notice any ooze on my prints at all...

LOL that was my first print with S3D to test out the support structure, i had no issues with but i did have 'only retract when crossing open spaces' on so i might try it with it off and see if i get the same results as you did .....

Hi Blizz Like i said i have only been playing for just under a week so my advice might not be 100% just trial and error, i have done 6 hour prints all fine and used support which is the main reason for purchase.. Any ways my settings for retraction are standard apart from i removed the -0.13 i think it was, Again still at work so i cant look at exact figures working from memory. Also i had under extrusion only on the infill so i changed the multiplier from .90 to .95 tried 1.0 but 0.95 was sufficient to fix my issues... hope that helps... I have an issue that once a print has finished, i then start a second one but the bed raises up while everything heats up then lowers and then does the start sequence do you get this ? Also do the settings on the display work during printing on a um2 i know speed setting does but do the temp settings work also ?

I just invested in S3D and what i did in the script tab under start.gcode i increased the 8mm to 20mm filament feed at the start. its all new to me so cant remember the line of code exactly as i am not at home, but there is comments next to it that tells you what each line of code does so just change E8 to E20 this should get the filament flowing ok... It because at the end of a print the material is retracted more than the 8mm S3D specify's to feed at the start to prime the nozzle.

How does support material stack up against Cura, is it better, much better same or worse ?

Hi Blizz was looking at this again as you have brought it up, What do you mean by learning curve before getting decent prints ? Also do you think print quality is as good as cura ? wouldn't want to pay for something that can not at least match the free slicer...
