  1. paul9 you got way to much time on your hands, but I see where your going, good luck. what layer height did you use and temp
  2. Thanks for that, Been trying to get a better cleaner print but no luck yet, been trying different retraction setting and dropping the temp, I bottomed out at 185 and to be honest it was still crap, so I going up in temp around 205 and see if that helps.
  3. Neotko your always have a wise words while trying to get a decent print (not there yet) I was printing this bracket one left and one right the left is a mirror of the right, below has loads of retract at the taper point as you can see where the profile tapers to a point there are no retractions below yet its a mirror any idears why
  4. Thanks SandervG I knew it was nothing to do with my browser (edge) it has only been effecting me in the last 14 day, thanks for the head up though.
  5. why don't you get Labern's sintered in metal I still use his design and although I have done my own (for the Mar2) Mod its a good design
  6. Neotko thanks mm/min is a bad habit I got into, but its a few taps of a calc to sort it, 3.x was doing the same on the dual head and its where I'm getting all the problems with, I was told switch off coast and wipe as they don't work on my printer, but to be honest I don't see any difference on or off, been in touch with s3D and all I got back was read the web help pages ( as if I haven't done it) possible problem might be at the end of the run and I might try upping - values in extra restart values.
  7. Lately I'm having problems logging out, my brouse (edge) is telling me this is an unsecure web sight and hangs, and one else having this issue Oh and its windows 10. explorer don't work anymore give 3mins and then it crashes.
  8. Neotko thanks for the reply the above model was done in one process, so I thought that would cancel out tool change settings these are as below just std s3D settings {IF NEWTOOL=0}T0 ; start tool switch 0 {IF NEWTOOL=0}G1 Y250 F8000 ; travel {IF NEWTOOL=0}G1 E-0.5 F500 ; fast purge {IF NEWTOOL=1}T1 ; start tool switch 1 {IF NEWTOOL=1}G1 Y250 F8000 ; travel {IF NEWTOOL=1}G1 E-0.5 F500 ; fast purge My retraction speed is set 2100.0 mm/min
  9. I have S3D v4 and when I had v3.1 installed I found the wipe settings not working as they used to do has anyone found the same, I'm getting blobs over my prints and don't seem to reduce them, setting I have at moment. PLA temp 195 speed 1900.0 coasting 0.50 wipe 2.0 retract 2.0 any help greatly appreciated.
  10. Neotko I did a print on right head in brown there is a bit of difference in tension will adjust and hope, failing that ther is about .30 vertical slop that might cause the trouble,, thanks though
  11. Neotko I was staring at the machine today think why?? while my printer prints the same model with the other head, I have noticed the belts going across the gantry one is slightly loser than the other if this print comes out good then I think you are right, I will check the link you sent aswell. thanks!! Rudyd G I think the BCN can do a good print from what I have seen at the shows but it is taking a lot to get to that point.
  12. I don't say this is your problem but it would not hurt to check what your system is doing, personally I would check.
  13. Have you tried calibrating the extruder to see how much your outing out
  14. OK Hear we Go Latest prints I have tried to get out but with banding Left was to hot but a bit of banding centre re calabrated extruder (Long Story) better but with banding right UM no messing. tried a vase same layer height .20 would not buy another BCN
  15. Totally agree Ill take a picture and post it, they are not pretty.
  16. I always thought it would be a pain but lately I have been wanting to wind my own material have you found a proper reel winding devise?? I'm sure there would be something around,, I'm looking for one myself if I find one Ill drop a post hear.. Good Luck
  17. Rudy dG where do you want me to start, the firmware, the lack of support, the lack of the ability to control speed functions, if you watch the reviews by 3d printing nerd and Thomas, they both say the Firmware holds the Machine back.... AND I TOTALLY AGREE, just updating the firmware is a pain, I have three computer windows 10 windows 7 and xp forget xp it wont speek to machine, windows 10 gets a serious strop, only windows 7 speaks to it and that's using there official Drivers. updating the screen is a separate issue you have to update that separately and that has issues using a mSD and you have to bin the one with the machine... I could go on and on!!! I fitted Bondtechs to the machine and they work ????? having that discussion with bondtech at moment No I'll stop. The machine has spent 3 days trying to get a single head print and a dual head print and I cant get one... it goes on ebay next week I'M no Boffin and I'm no Dumbxxxxxxx but I'm hacked off with it!!!!!. If you'd like I'l post a picture of single head print and dual..
  18. Hi RudydG thanks for this I use the below on my BCN (which I'm not happy with) {IF NEWTOOL=0}T0 ; start tool switch 0 {IF NEWTOOL=0}G1 Y250 F8000 ; travel {IF NEWTOOL=0}G1 E-0.5 F500 ; fast purge {IF NEWTOOL=1}T1 ; start tool switch 1 {IF NEWTOOL=1}G1 Y250 F8000 ; travel {IF NEWTOOL=1}G1 E-0.5 F500 ; fast purge will your script work for My BCN - I am planning to do the Mark 2 conversion on my UM2
  19. yeah its a bummer seems as though its all stoped.
  20. RudydG thanks for the reply I played with that today but I thought also there might be a better tool change instead of my second head sitting there at 215 waiting to be used I thought they might of implemented some temp changes,,for that head to cool and then warm up in time to be used... how do you get on with tool changes???
  21. I have Upgraded to v4 have you tried it I thought there would have been more control over the prime pillar, Like when I print a two colour model why do you have to print every layer on the prime pillar.
  22. I Like that idea, I also thought of using Ball screws as on my Mill. a lot of the heavy machines are starting to use ball screws, the Frog Bolt for instance.
  23. from what I read igus might not be the best way neotko threads make interesting reading I'm glad I stopped before too late still think the z screw on UM could be better,,
  24. Just tried for the 5th time finally got error 500 internal server error... my cura 15.04.6 still wont run and its VERY slow I am running win 10 64 bit. any indears
