  1. Just tried to download latest cura and nothing happens except filling in the question air time and time again also 15.0.6 has stopped working stating python not responding,, using windows 10
  2. whats the Material what temp what slicer what size nozzle
  3. Les you should try the tool from Anders Olson that's the Toque meter, then I suppose not possible to over tighten, it might of fell out of use I have the STL Files if you cant find them.
  4. Wayne I stopped, I found the lead screw is directly attached to the motor no by a coupling it is machined, I thought the process would be stretching my machining skills, and I had enough of other problems to sort out. I think I still have the PDF of the lead screw if you interested, got it from Git Hub and the step files,, The helix lead screw is awesom along with the self lubricating nut company Igus have a look http://www.igus.co.uk/wpck/9443/productoverview_Trapezgewindemutter?C=GB&L=en let me know if you want the files.. or and how you get on.
  5. Neotko Thanks for this, will see if I can find a data sheet, My hot end is Full Metal, so may just be the thing. Thanks
  6. Has there been any progress with finding a filament that can be safely put in your mouth,, I have had a request from a friend to make a holder for him to use with his mouth, this would involve taking a mould of his teeth and producing a mould (3d printed) then creating the Holder attached to that.. Any replies welcome
  7. PLA tec has a higher temperature tolerance... I would personally not use Ngen for this. Thanks for your Honest Opinion, one of the reasons for not taking advise (neotko) was the link shown for the white was not in English so didn't want to just jump into the Dark.. I Found this on a sight I have purchased from before https://www.3djake.com/extrudr/green-tec-red https://www.3djake.com/extrudr/green-tec-white I presume this is the same Material if so I will order , as always thanks for the comments
  8. Thanks, will source that! Is it possible to get the coupling parts in separate stl files? Many thanks! About the files, all files are also in .stp format in the github folder. You can easily modify, or save separate STL's from them using free software like fusion360 or Design spark mechanical. read here how to unlock steps for editing in DSM; https://ultimaker.com/en/community/3772-spaceclaim?page=2#reply-54816 Check the scale after importing the .stp I noticed in spaceclaim I have to scale them down a factor 10. In solid works they are huge when .STP Files were brought in didn't realise till I sat it on the print table in S3d and it would fit Durr? I'l know better next time.
  9. Decided to Order Ngen to print my Mark 2 head ???
  10. yyh1002 thanks for the reply you made some points that I didn't think of ?? which is exactly why I asked the question?? thanks.. I will look at the Boden again.. The Ums 2 is not what it started life out as std.. and I guess I replaced the tube 2 or 3 times.. so I doubt it is std length I will look at the fast forward and check.. I also have another printer Not Um (sorry) which is heavily modded and I suspect that machines bowdens are well out, I will check the H files for the length before I cut 25mm off... Thanks
  11. All Hope someone can shine a light at what defines the Length of the Bowden tube.. Reason My Um 2 has a Bondtech and the bowden has a nasty habit of going nearly flat not upright,, this makes the entry into the top of the head and the exit from extruder, under pressure, and I would think cause more friction pushing the material through... So I thought as long as the tube was NOT being stretched by the head moving across the med to all 4 corners that would be fine... Any thoughts before I cut...
  12. Neotko thanks for that I will look else where then..
  13. Thanks for the replies will look at both products also going to look at Extrudr MF PETG Red, 2,85 mm Thanks
  14. Ok I'm asking the question hear??? tried the Mark2 thread and got very little responce... with the wealth of knowledge on this forum what PLA will work with the Mark 2 Mod it seems they have only tested (1) Manufacturer which is Extrudr,, are there any other Manufacturers product that should do Like Colour fab say XT or HT Or Polymaker, don't want to waist time and money??? any help appreciated.
  15. Motst of the guys used greentec PLA from extrudr that's fine but that's 1 supplier are there any other materials like XT or HT that were beta tested ??
  16. I got a Anet A-8 for about £120 it has heated bed kit form though I got it for a friend of mine who is into machining so he could get into 3D Printing as well as satisfy his urge to Machine. Kit looked good
  17. Simple Question but what materials have been used to print the Marks2 in Beta Testing been looking to find a Heat Resistant Material.. just don't want to waist money getting something that does not suit... Thanks
  18. I'll hang off until I know if its good enough.. got a lot of other things to get on with.. Thanks:O
  19. I Decided to give it a go printing the Parts so I've printed the flexible wedges in nGen Flex ?? and I am about to order some "Extrudr MF PetG" this would be ok for the main Parts ??
  20. Only Got the Magnets to get and Fan shroud I was thinking of getting the head parts SLS Printed is there any reason why not to go down this route, ie the STL Files.. Got little time to print myself it is just easier for me to get them SLS. Hope to start in a few days.. got to get a fan shroud so I thought of this cheeezy I know
  21. Ok Stupid Question coming up How do I download TinkerGnomes Software when I select the file I ge to see the code but no download... Sorry in advance ????
  22. Thanks for the Replies as always very helpful,, I'm Mounting the Bondtech in the holes that are already there opposite where I mounted my first Bondtech... so Bowden not an issue,, I'll have a look and see whether Syntax Terror would oblige,, I will PM him and ask.. Thanks
  23. Bondtech ordered .. can anyone tell me the right length for the Boden tube for the second extruder or is this to early...
