  1. Hi there. I noticed when using double extrusion on the edges there is a darker area. I think it shows you where the nozzle may run since there is the distance between each nozzles and it reduces the possible printing area. But it doesn't explain why each profile has a different dark area, what is the setting which controls it?
  2. I have my own profile with a 0.16 basic line width and 0.20 initial layer line width. But it also happens on top layers so it isn't the problem. The layers are just HUGELY overextruded with cura 3.6
  3. I noticed that exact over extrusion only in the top and bottom layers since only cura 3.6, while the perimeters are fine and even the flow is calibrated, since I precisely hit 0.40mm on a 0.4 nozzle. I couldn't print properly without the print failing because of the nozzle deeping in the print and hitting it. Downgrading to 3.5.0 solved this issue.. So yeah, something is faulty right there. So please, if some devs will drop into this topic, please consider taking a look.
  4. Increase the minimum layer time likely to 7 sconds, and reduce the retraction lenght and speed. I would recommend max 3mm and 45mm/s.
  5. I noticed using the stock profile it doesn't happen, but I don't get what setting is causing it in my own profile.
  6. Hi there. As you can see the tree support is solid and is most likely a shield. I set 3mm of distance between the tree tips but they're all joined. What's wrong?
  7. Uh, I have another question.. as I will use 2 different fans for each nozzle, what number do I need to use for fans in the machine profile? 0 and 1 or 1 and 2?
  8. Si può disattivare dalle impostazioni.
  9. Nice, it was that, thanks! Are other strings needed for the dual extruding tweaks (for PVA and PLA mostly) like for example the prime tower position or can I just specify them in the profile? I am also going to link this working cr-10 one to the cr-10s dual extruding. As I see the cr-10s machine definition is just a shortcut to the cr-10 with only a different name.
  10. Hi there, I did it and now the machine is recognized correctly and Cura doesn't report any error, but the second extruder still doesn't appear in Cura. These are the files in the extruder folder: creality_cr10_dual_extruder_0.def.json { "id": "creality_cr10_dual_extruder_0", "version": 2, "name": "Extruder 1", "inherits": "fdmextruder", "metadata": { "machine": "creality_cr10_dual", "position": "0" }, "overrides": { "extruder_nr": { "default_value": 0 }, "machine_nozzle_size": { "default_value": 0.4 }, "material_diameter": { "default_value": 1.75 } } } creality_cr10_dual_extruder_1.def.json { "id": "creality_cr10_dual_extruder_1", "version": 2, "name": "Extruder 2", "inherits": "fdmextruder", "metadata": { "machine": "creality_cr10_dual", "position": "1" }, "overrides": { "extruder_nr": { "default_value": 1 }, "machine_nozzle_size": { "default_value": 0.4 }, "material_diameter": { "default_value": 1.75 } } }
  11. I tried this along with the fixes @AbeFM mentioned, but when starting Cura it results the definition I made is corrupted and it doesn't show up. Any help?
  12. So, trying to resume this since it isn't solved yet, but it even is worse and I tried multiple materials. Take a look here, the layers which define the model ears are completely destroyed just touching them
  13. Hi there. After updating to Cura 3.5 I don't see any infill inside the tree supports, while before I had it. Is there an option for it that I am missing? Thanks.
  14. It makes a difference for the first layer, it will melt and adhere more smoothly, this fixing it more to the bed.
  15. I want to only heat the bed for the first layer and then cool down since PLA doesn't need an heated bed. On 3.5.0 even setting this it won't cool down after the first layer.
  16. That's not the problem, setting the same number will still give seams. Also as you can see I have those seams with 0.16 and not with the 0.4 profile, though using a stock profile with a similar layer height still won't show any seams.
  17. To me with 3.5 the heated bed doesn't work properly (it should switch off after the first layer but it doesn't), so.. ?
  18. Hi there. I tried to slice a print and in Layer view I see pretty big seams. WIth stock profiles I don't have it, but I can't find what option could be the cause of this. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
  19. Oh really? Then it should be useful trying with a double 5015 cooler to see what the actual result would be. Even trying with a bigger and better hotend fan, as my actual one is a standard 30mm V6 fan and I could try with a 40mm fan. My 5015s are on the way.
  20. To me the only slowdown is when opening cura, it needs more than 30 seconds even with a good PC and an SSD. Well, leaving alone the tree supports generation.
  21. Fun fact: I encountered a man online that printed 3 parts of the same model at the same time on the plate (well where otherwise?) and he only had the splitting on top internal layer issue only on one of the 3 parts...
  22. Well yeah the problem is to me it isn't just visible, the parts will split cut in those layers.
  23. It isn't a huge problem since that is referred to an upper empty part, but yes, it is the same.
  24. Well it isn't a problem with that model since I never had a model that hasn't had it. I checked deeper and I noticed the normally extruded layers are only the top and bottom layers, while all the normal layers, which containt the infill (or not if with 0% infill, it is the same), will have this problem, which is an under or overextrusion. I haven't been able to determine what makes it be an under or overextrusion, but based on my latest print it doesn't affect adjacent surfaces. In fact you will see the random overextrusion will exactly stop when the Y coordinate changes of just 1 point. Also, can I ask what firmware do you use?
