  1. id be interested to see if it works for you, incase its something my end. I'll see if i can hunt down another camera just out of interest. Reading above posts, "The camera stream is started for SVGA type". Maybe this is the issue and it can be changed to a res that matches the camera? no idea if that would make it active or not.
  2. great work as per. Sadly doesnt work for me though, but it guess its more to do with the camera being some HD Logitec thing. I'll see if i can find a lesser model in here somewhere and try that.
  3. did you ever look into this Smithy? the built-in camera has really started to annoy me now, its borderline useless and we have the camera feed displayed in the lab to show print progress. Everyone asks what the hell it is they are meant to be looking at.
  4. the material is seemingly ok Mari im sure. I have attached the log, it would be awesome if someone could have a look for me. If it was something my end, network or other then that would be better than a problem elsewhere! logs-ultimakersystem-0030d625d03f-7.1.3-20221018081417.zip
  5. no, all of the above are ok. The PET comes from a spool inside the material station. It seemingly just "stopped" for reasons unknown and then failed. If the logs can be interpreted it might shed some light on the point of failure? i dont want to run the job incase it falls over again.
  6. here is the project but as far as i can tell its just your normal print file, it all sliced just fine. 1-1.3mf
  7. the print seemingly failed while everything else was going ok. Looks like it stopped and the head hovered about the job for a while with a bit of oozing and then it was listed as "failed". It was overnight so i have no actual evidence at the point of failure. I have the project file and the log though.
  8. can anyone help me as to why this print failed 13hrs into a 14hr print please? i have the log but i dont know what im looking for, i need someone to interpret! Cheers
  9. Hear you. The U5, but more accurately the material station is the most frustrating, useless piece of crap I've ever worked with. Like half an hour wait times for everything? Material stuck in it or not in it but thinks it is? yep. How about changing empty spools and the new filament not reaching the head but going ahead and continuing? Of course. Nozzle leveling every single print even though the plate hasn't moved and wrecking your plate covering, sure. The list could be a mile long sadly.
  10. how come i see this message at least twice a day now? the only way around it is to save the file, close Cura, reopen it, slice it again and then attempt to print again which at that point it usually goes through. Rolled back to Cura 5.0 to try it out but still the same. It just hangs at "Sending Print job" forever and there is no option to retry or cancel it, you have no idea how frustrating that is after you have sliced a complex file that takes a lot of time only to have it hang and you have to close and re-slice again. S5 Bundle - Cura 5, Cura 5+
  11. Let's just chalk this one off, I can't find anything that relates to it. Next time it happens I'll get the log immediately. Thanks for the help though.
  12. i have the logs but i dont think what i need is there... it only records the last print job, is that correct? i cant find anything with a timestamp near where the failure occurred, and i did run a successful job after the failure. I think the file is sensor_data.log?
  13. Thanks I'll do that next week as it's the weekend now. I know the time of the fail so that should help. I'll report back, cheers!
  14. ok ive got the log, am i looking for the file that was "about" the time where i think the failure occurred?
  15. i'll get the log when the next job finishes. But yeah ive looked before and it was all jibberish to me!
  16. if i send a network job and at some point during the print the network drops, will the file fail to print? Just i came in this morning and an overnight print had hung at "failed" but with no explanation. Thanks!
  17. It's just one of the crazy annoying features on the bundle. It's just so so so slow at everything, it costs me hours a week just standing looking at the thing doing basically nothing. For the love of god a Pro mode where we can bypass all these "features" would be a dream come true. I find myself using my ultimaker 2 more than the £10k S5, which is sad but it just works.
  18. hi guys. Is there a way to see how much material a job in my library requires? i just cant seem to find this information anywhere. It would be nice if i can look at the library and see that i need x amount of material, or to fit in a small job from the library at the end of my roll. (my continuous printing system in the material manager works 1 in 5 times, so we try to avoid using it) So basically info next to each job in the library displaying the material length would be very beneficial as it currently only shows the print time which is essentially half the information required before you start it off.
  19. ok so first job this morning, different file from my library, did the same. "Finished" many many layers short. Another day lost... @Carla, interesting i think you might be right. I opened the file in the new version of cura, sliced it and saved it out again and its wayyy bigger in terms of time to print. What on earth.
  20. exact same job from the library completed overnight this time... absolutely no idea what happened the first time. I guess these things happen in fabrication but ive had way more failures with my S5 than my workhorse U2+E.
  21. It was from my library which was strange. Might have been a blocked nozzle or something, who knows as it threw no error, but it's frustrating this S5, really is.
  22. i just dont have the time to do it, it wants serial numbers of all the components etc.. i'll have to take a punt and hope it doesn't happen again. I have downloaded the logs but they mean nothing to me, but yeah, my client isnt really happy as it was seemingly minutes from completion.
