I've read the many reviews, such as the one you referenced, and noticed a consistent theme too. I'm eager to have an Ultimaker 2 soon and have read, with great interest, how users are trying the Olsson block and many other things to remedy some of the issues. I'm interested to see the list of improvements Ultimaker has made along the production of the Ultimaker 2?

Doing a print now....the famous elephant one. The Dutch Orange is a wonderful color. Doing 210C, 50mm/s. 0.2 (pretty much default settings) and so far its flowing very smoothly.

Look out for Predator drones I haven't had any Thingiverse models with the issue....its usually a model/drawing made by someone that uses inches/feet and I need to sort out a way to make that work in Cura.

Take lots of progress pictures along the way! Have fun, take your time and let us know how your first print goes!

I know they introduced a new model earlier this year, so the older models (GoPro Hero) is down to under $200. Now to find a mount to hold it in the UMO!

And please, consider adding details in the software list and adding comments to them....i.e. which one to use to upgrade the Firmware in the UMO, etc. I used to work for a software developer for 5 years and was responsible for the technical documentation and testing. So when I see you guys struggle, part of me wants to reach out and help

I agree with you. If you are a regular in the forum, you can find answers. But my concern is for the person new to Ultimaker, having purchased a printer and seeing very incomplete software featured as the current release. Plus the many points you made in that thread.

You make some valid points, I've also asked about what the difference in between versions. When you go to the software version list, you see the different versions fine. Then you go thru CAPTCHA and it downloads. Prior to that, and in that list, should be some direction on what is changed between versions. The reason I point this out is that as an Ultimaker Original owner, we are frequently told to download 15.02.1 for the latest firmware for our printer. If I did not follow the forums, I would not know this! Please take this as constructive criticism to make it easier for all level of Ultimaker owners to find the correct software for their model printer.

I'm curious what you guys are using...from camera, software and stand/mount to record your prints. I was trying to use an old, HD Sony Bloggie...but it shuts itself off after 15 minutes of recording (plenty of space for recording, just won't stay on longer). I'd like to record the prints and post the time-lapse videos online. Thanks!

Maybe this was already posted...when you cut and past a link, sometimes the forum software doesn't use the entire link...it will highlight a section of it but not the entire link. I wind up having to type 'LINK' and they adding the hyperlink to that to work.

I want to say this as gently as possible...that video needs subtitles. I can't follow his english very well.

I've never tried 0.06 Usually 0.10 and 40 and with Ultimaker PLA blue, 210C seems to be the right temp.

Does this filament tend to print cooler (200?) for most?

No glass. Ultimaker Original Just blue painters...tape wiped down with an alcohol wipe.

I've been meaning to buy some for a while and finally got around to doing so. Asides the instructions and suggestions on ColorFabb's website, any tips I should heed on using this filament? I have an Ultimaker Original , no heated bed. I couldn't resist trying out the Dutch Orange and Shining Silver 2.85 filaments.
