  1. Ok, after finding the SolidWorks-plugin installed (your link points to the SWX-Plugin) and the second try with the Inventor-Plugin the first try with an Inventor-File failed - most possibly thanks to our virus protection software... I'll keep trying.
  2. @thopiekar: to be honest, I don't use SolidWorks anymore and my current company sports Inventor - so I'm looking for the Inventor-Plugin
  3. Hey guys, the analogy to pdf is a good one. Hasn't SolidWorks a Viewer called eDrawings Viewer? Maybe this will help to get access to the file format. With Inventor Viewer you have (limited) access to those files, like view and change some internal properties and run some conversion scripts with iLogic. @kmanstudios: i undestand your point. Getting a plugin for free with the need for a full-scale SolidWorks license adds just some comfort as one can generate the STL with SolidWorks itself...The ability to use SLDPRT-Files without a license is quite charming
  4. Yes, nice it is. Quite flexing. But cutting threads into it was not a pleasure - although it worked out, it was a crumbling action. So once again: you have to find the right material for the right purpose. (And the right printing temperature/cooling/retract etc.. ) Cheers, dxp
  5. Guys, this is awesome. To be sure I read everything about build plate adhesion, temperatures, enclosures, warping etc. just to find a nearly flawless print with default cura settings (except 100% infill, 3mm wall). I used the Advanced Kit with its enclosure and adhesion sheets. A cardboard case on top kept the heat. That's all. Wonderful. Thank you, Team Ultimaker! (The PP is a bit harder than TPU. Hard to rip apart. The brim is crumpled after removing it. And you will get a nice matte surface from the Adhesion Sheet. (No bed leveling after putting it on.) ) dxp
  6. Well, i made some valve-blocks, which were driven with pressurized air up to 5 bar. Only one was not air-tight. The first attempts were printed at 100% infill, later versions at 50% with 3mm walls. I cut threads (~10mm) and sanded the sealing faces with wet sand paper. It all worked. And it was PLA. (But i have to admit, the last cases with ABS/ASA were cracky..) Oh, and there was a vase, printed by someone at 3D-Hubs with Colorfabb XT on a UM2 with very thin walls (0,5mm) - no water on the table!
  7. Just an idea: Top/Bottom thickness 20mm, zero infill, 2 perimeters? Check the preview.

  9. Hi, same here. Made some TPU-Specific and some Innofil-related Profiles. No big deal, just for documentation. Now, with Cura 3.1 all imports fail. I tied: - deleting C:\Users\MyName\AppData\Roaming\cura\3.1 -> no change - copying C:\Users\MyName\AppData\Roaming\cura\3.0\quality\ultimaker3_extruder_left_innofil+pro1+fast.inst.cfg (and right too) -> no old profiles showing up - directly import of .inst.cfg-Files - no success - adding a new profile in cura, then copy an edit in Explorer - not showing up Well, I understand, that profiles belong to a specific material. But it is very difficult to manage this connection. Ciao, dxp Edit: some words.
