  5. Obvio!828E 1:15 scale model

I printed this model in my room, and it took almost two complete days. I was amazed that the support was not so difficult to take from the model, unlike my expectations for such a large printing.

  7. Here a set of lifter that is install under alpin race ski boots.

Here a set of lifter that is install under alpin race ski boots. those are 5mm.
I had print them in Pla, but pla is not a good plastic for that, you need a plastic that will be more resistant to abrasion. I thing if you print them with polycarbinate filament it would be much better. If you have any suggestion about and others plastic let me know. That parts need to be 100% filling, because you will walk on and when is been grind by walking it's better if it full inside.

  10. Spiral chess set: Pawns + knight (in progress)

I was looking for some nice test prints after getting my UMO+ up and running again, so I decided to m make the best of it and make my test prints into a nice chess set over time.
    Printed so far:

Pawn 1: 0.20 layers, 200 degrees, 20 mm/s, 0.40 walls, 30% fill >> Overall a fine print, but an ugly overhang at the top edge
    Pawn 1: 0.20 layers, 190 degrees, 20 mm/s, 0.40 walls, 20% fill >> Tried fixing the overhang by going colder, worked ok,-ish
Knight 1: 0.20 layers, 185 degrees, 20 mm/s, 0.60 walls, 15% fill >> Maybe too cold, overhang fine, but noticable lines on the surface

  15. E-steps measuring tool

This is a tool for measuring e-steps, using the bowden tube. Slide it into the loops on the main body, clamp in place with a bolt. Slide the other part onto the main body and adjust until you have 100mm between the front of the first loop and the face of the slider. Now adjust you e-steps to get an easy visual of your setting.

  16. Ultimaker Rotary knob

    Description
The standard knob of Ultimaker did not really appeal to me because it was relatively difficult, e.g. to set the temperatures from 0 to 240 ° C.
With this rotary knob you can enter such values quickly.
    Update 05.02.2017:
Increase the outside diameter of the knob by 1.50 mm. Acceleration of the printing process.
    Materials and methods
    Rotary Knob:
    Material: PLA, 2,85 mm (Innofil)
    Colour PLA: white
    Nozzle: 0,25 mm
    Layer thickness: 0,15 mm
    Temperature nozzle: 240°C
    Temperature buildplate: 60°C
    3D-Printer: Ultimaker 2+
Colouring: white, special-acrylic-resin-spray (TS-26 from Tamiya)
    Cross:
    Material: PLA, 2,85 mm (Innofil)
    Colour PLA: silver metallic
    Nozzle: 0,25 mm
    Layer thickness: 0,06 mm
    Temperature nozzle: 240°C
    Temperature buildplate: 60°C
    3D-Printer: Ultimaker 2+
Colouring: EMAIL COLOR silver (number 90 from Revell)
The cross was printed with a supporting structure, which also closed the recess in the cross-center, for placing on the rotary knob. This structure must be cut out with a pointed object.
    Sorry for my bad English.

  17. Ascalon's Blade - Issei Hyodo - High School DxD

  19. OpenRC Quadcopter

This is a first go at a OpenRC Quadcopter.
My goals when starting was to create a different design than what we usually see for 3D printed quads and enclose all electronics in the design itself. The idea was an experiment to create parts from a strong material with thin walls and low infill to keep the weight down.
Everything is designed to fit the electronics from a DJI 450 Flamewheel.
As you may have noticed i call this a "Beta" verion and that is becasue it´s simply not finished. While all parts do fit together there are things missing in the design.
Hopefully someone can get something out of this project, maybe use parts of the design or it can spark ideas for new projects.

Any ideas or thoughts on this project are best asked in the OpenRC Community on Google+ https://plus.google.com/communities/112745535856143176146

  20. Bowden tube clip

Replace of the ´blue horse shoe´ that comes with the Ultimaker Kit.
This design takes the play out of the Bodwen tube, reducing retraction and underextrusion issues.
This version is a variation of the ´Ultimaker retraction ring´ made by JelleBoomstra, being smaller, wich allows to rotate it easily, making possible to attach it to the Hotend´s Bowden tube without problems because will not touch the cables (cartridge heater, PT 100, and fan).

  23. Stamp

This was printed with a .25mm nozzle at 60 micron, default setting of Cura 2.3.
This displayed model is 2,5cm in diameter, even printed a model of approximately 1 - 1,5cm in diameter which came out great in detail.
It is a stamp to use on hot wax. (and it should have been mirrored d'oh!)

  25. Katarina Character from LoL

    Quality
    Layer height: 0.1mm*
    Initial layer thickness: 0.3mm
    Bottom/top pattern: lines
    Skin perimeter line count: 0
Horizontal expansion: 0.04mm (when entering 0.04mm index, the 3D printer perceives the model as monolith, i.e. as having no hidden layers).
*Layer Height 0.1mm is recommended for a better quality for the printed model. However, the printing time will double.
    Speed setups:
    Infill speed: 30mm/s
    Outer shell speed : 30mm/s
    Inner shell speed: 20mm/s
    Top/bottom speed: 20mm/s
    Support speed: 50mm/s
    Travel speed: 150mm/s
    Skirt speed: 30mm/s
    Amount of slower layers: 4
    Infill:
    Infill pattern: Grid
    Line distance: 1.5mm
    Infill overlap: 20%
    Infill layers: 0
    Support:
    Enable support: Check
    Placement: Everywhere
    Overhang angle: 30°
    X/Y distance: 0.7mm
    Top distance: 0.2mm
    Bottom distance: 0.2mm
    Stair step height: 0.5mm
    Join distance: 0.7mm
    Area smoothing: 0.6mm
    Use towers: check
    Pattern: Grid
    Line distance: 1.5mm
    Platform adhesion:
    Type: Brim
Brim line count: 10 (up to 20, depending on the model’s height)
    Other 3D printing recommendations:
Outer Shell Speed - 20mm/s and Support Speed - 40mm/s settings apply to avoid model deformation. Apply other settings by default.
