  1. Hi Clarkman, have you tried it out for a spin or did you never pass the first run wizard? If you tried to heat it up on the actual Ultimaker Original we should look into other options. Can you take a picture of your electronics, to verify where everything is connected etc?
  2. Not entirely. It has some benefits like lower cost, but some huge disadvantages in terms of very long shipping times, tough communication and different cultures / standards. So one could build a case in sourcing (crucial) parts more locally.
  3. LOL Did we meet? I must admit, I was pretty competitive yeah but come on.. it was an intense competition! .. I get easily excited about those things Are you in this or this video? Well, regardless of how 'unplanned' your process was, it lead to a great result! Congratulations!
  4. The screen should say temp bed error if it is the heated bed. If it doesn't it is probably the heated bed. Such a temp error can be triggered when the heaterblock takes too much time to heat up. This can because the heaterblock is touching the fanshroud and the fanshroud will act as a heatsink. It could also be that there is just a little connection, and the cool of the air pushes it to an temp error. By leaving the fan off, it may not give you the best print, but if you don't get a temp error your fan shroud is probably touching your heaterblock. Let me know it plays out, thanks
  5. Hi, I have moved your topic to the troubleshooting section. Do you have a temp error in your bed or printhead? Do you have an Olsson Block? What happens when you leave your fans off? Looking forward hearing from you!
  6. We have different definitions of progress @UltiArjan (no offence Bananas!)
  7. It feels like she is looking right into my soul!
  8. Hi Hydrain, thank you for your post. Are you sure you filled in all the required fields? If you select not to share any information, can you download it then? If you select to do share info, but don't fill in all the required fields it won't let you download it. Let me know if you can download it when not sharing any info. I'll have our dev's look into it.
  9. I'm sorry.. you didn't upload it in the Print section. This is not a valid entry
  10. What a tough competition it was again, thank you all for participating! Because we had one prize left from the previous contest we have an extra prize to hand out this time. This made it a little bit easier for me to choose between the entries. So, with no further ado.. here are the winners! Congratulations ... @Tinkergnome & @DesignMakeTeach It was a tough competition, but you both had outstanding print quality with lots of details and put a lot of effort in your presentation. Tinkergnome received some bonus points for the extra dual color reels of filament he printed, and DesignMakeTeach receives bonus points for hand painting his prints. Special thank you to @Titus and @HMarcus for printing your Ultimaker Original tributes in Woodfill. Unfortunately due to the fracture or lack of detail (0.8mm nozzle) your competition had a small advantage. Hopefully you'll participate again in the next competition. Thank you all for participating! The next contest will start again shortly, with new chances! Hopefully we'll see you again!
  11. @titus, the last thing you mentioned is a bug. It will probably be fixed in the next launch. Not sure exactly what you mean with your first feedback? There should be a progress-bar while uploading the picture. You didn't see any?
  12. You could use a cloth to clean the threaded rod to remove any dirt that might be in between the threads. By applying the grease and moving it up and down manually a couple of times it should be good. by the way, do you also feel an edge or friction when moving it up or down manually? The thicker rods left and right shouldn't need any lubricant, that is why I asked. Lubricant could even make it tougher to move. Looking at your prints, I do see what you mean on the 3 left figurines, but on the 2 on the right I don't see the layer.
  13. Have you cleaned the threaded axis? checked it for dirt or brims? Did you use a lubricant on the smooth rods?
  14. @titus & @HMarcus; these are the rules for this contest (a 0.4 nozzle is not a requirement): - We know how you all love hacking and modifying, so we have only one guideline: it must be printed on an Ultimaker. Besides that.. everything goes! - Entries must be uploaded in the Print section. (Fill out your settings if you want. The winner agrees to share his settings at the end of the week). - Share the link and a picture of your upload in this thread. - Everyone can participate in every contest, but you can only win once. - There will be 2 prizes. - Photoshop is not allowed. - You can participate until Sunday midnight CEST. Good luck! The contest is still open for approx. 11 hours
  15. Could you take a picture of the top of your printhead? There should be a white tightner and a blue clip holding it in place. If any of those are missing or not functioning well that could cause the bowden tube to pop out. Usually when a bowden tube is not secured it will eliminate retraction. I also see that the space between the PTFE coupler and hot end coupler is to small. It should be over 1mm. This could be an interesting blog for you to read. And we have a part 2.
  16. Just got my first notification email... Was it a ghost notification?
  17. But not the gold @cloakfiend has. He uses all kind of fancy stuff to replicate gold Does it also run on rainbows? You all seem to know more than I do!
  18. I am not really seeing it at 47-48 seconds. It looks to me that the turn it makes at that position is just the path of the model? Do you think you show it in a different video? It is possible that the nozzle hits your print. There are multiple reasons one could think of. The most obvious one would be overextrusion. You are extruding more than you should. Are you using Ultimaker filament? Is it happening at an area which just passed something like an overhang?
  19. Settings look ok, so does your video. Curious to see if a capture on video will reveal more information.
  20. Nope sorry. When I checked it was already normal again. Maybe there was a glitch in the matrix during the launch of the new improvement? Did you ever see any other irregularities?
  21. awesome build @Peggyb! Looks very cute. Hopefully we'll also see some official entries during the weekend
  22. Ultimaker inception! Love it, very creative and cheatful Did you laser cut it with your Ultimaker?
  23. Hi, could you tell me what Ultimaker you are using for printing? The burrrrrrr sound is probably the printhead (motor) missing steps which sounds like a mechanical problem. Or the nozzle got stuck behind a part of the printer and that is what made it loose steps. Where was the head when it made this sound? The fact it works with beta Cura could might as well be coincidence. What settings are you printing?
  24. besides this one example, do you get emails now? The fact it shows there are unread topics does not mean you are also following the thread. It just means you haven't read it yet. Are you sure you are following this specific topic?
