  1. Hi Guys, We are currently in the middle of a super secret project which requires some 3D sculpting skills. Unfortunately I lack those skills and by the time I have learned well.. lets say we just don't have that time I can't post any details here but if you are interested and didn't have any plans for the weekend let me know! Also, if you are interested and have 3D sculpting/modeling skills, but not the time now feel free to reach out to me anyway for future references Thanks guys!!
  2. If you can fit within the build plate area I would recommend to give it a try! .. but I can not be held responsible for.. .. anything!
  3. Hi Jonathan, Thank you for your post. I understand your concern on getting this solved, and that is exactly why Simone has contacted you. If you want to get this solved asap I recommend you work with Simone on finding the problem and resolving it. Customer service is usually not a problem, but in the past response time has been slower on occasions. Overall we intend to reply within a day or 2 days when the workload is a bit heavier. Thank you,
  4. haha ok. Maybe not unique. I meant awesome Lets stick with the original idea (I don't want to break the discussion open again). I will talk with Erick on what the first steps are going to be. I am guessing like sharing some kind of blueprint of a basic default multirotor, that we can modify and adapt? Create some basic parameters and guidelines and then perhaps divide it under the participants? Ok? Alternatives? Shall we use something like Github to store the files?
  5. To give Alex some competition and perhaps motivation, I want to bring http://umforum.ultimaker.com/index.php?/topic/1938-first-3d-model-warhound-titan/ print up again. Remember it is from 2013. I always remembered it when thinking about impressive prints. And now so will Alex his print.
  6. I just remembered I also took a picture of the bridge-print!
  7. On the XT regard, I saw a print they made on the Ultimaker 2 that bridged a gab of (I have to guess) 10/12 cm without any difficulties.
  8. It is time to set some wheels into motion! I think option 2 kinda already exists. see http://www.3ders.org/articles/20140908-build-your-own-low-cost-radio-controlled-quadcopter-with-a-3d-printer.html. What about making it fly + wheels for driving around? That is still unique.
  9. Their head office is near Manchester, but I don't really understand why that should matter. When we met we felt they understood the vision and were eager and enthusiastic guys just like us who understand the urgency of a personal relationship with our users. Ultimaker HQ is also not near the capital city of the Netherlands. There are resellers in London so the Ultimaker is accessible in this region. Blizz, what do you mean by 'we are a printer fabricator vibe'?
  10. Hi Guys, In the end I didn't make it to the meet up in the bar, tearing down the stand took a long time and I ended up having to leave for my flight back in the middle of the night. The event took all my energy. About the event, thank you for the feedback! Usually I am always on the stand but this year I had several meeting outside of the stand, spoke to several other exhibitors and joined some interesting meetings. In the few times I passed the booth I did not always see a lot of Ultimaker crew but when I spoke to our partners they said it was covered. I will make sure to pass this on as feedback, but it also caught my attention. About the overall knowledge, one of our trusty community members from the UK unexpectedly couldn't make it (unfortunately!), and the guy with most knowledge was their on Thursday and partially friday. So not all the time. After a short debrief on saturday I also told them to invest in the technical knowledge. They do understand the vision but the technical aspect is sometimes a bit neglected, I agree. I know some of you UK users are very active and knowledgable. For future references, would you care to join the Ultimaker crew at other events in the UK? You can send me a DM if you are interested!
  11. They came in yesterday! We won 2 awards!!!! Thanks guys!! Ultimaker was awarded as Best Consumer product and Best Consumer Software! Amazing!!! 18. one more day left for voting! It closes by the end of today..
  19. Lets wear an Ulti-bot visibly somehow, like a necklace or whatever. Probably it will only take a few moments until we form a group and then it is easier to recognize the group. I will also try to join on Saturday around 8! If something changes, lets keep this thread as the 'latest news section'.
  20. Thanks guys! I will definitely have my fingers crossed during the show!
  21. Ik heb hem zelf ook op een Ultimaker 2 gezet om hem uit te proberen en ik was er ook tevreden over!
  22. Hi Stu, thanks for the info! What machine are you using?
