Do any of you have the stl files of this component so that you can do to accomplish with a lathe machine?

Also you believe that it is useful to be replaced instead of the spring and the olsson block from 1,75mm?Ultimaker-2-extruder-2.thumb.jpg.8623e5e71939ba7ef2aea023a9d8f29a.jpg

The spring is okay but having less pressure is good so I recommend putting a part in there. This one works good. You may have to tweak it 0.5mm or so either way but it should fine with any Olsson block or block v3 on the non-plus printers. I printed this part in ABS as it does get a bit hot up in there. The window is fantastic improvement over ultimakers opaque aluminum:

I just bought this metal ring for a few euros from 3dprima for my um2go. No issues.

Edit: well, yes, cannot see the bowden through aluminum but I kinda developed a feel for knowing when it is inserted right.

I can easily make alloy ones with slots in them so you can see the bowden tube.

I'll add it to my list for when I get back. I require one for myself anyway, and if I'm making one then make more wont be much more work.

What's the best lathe to do it? I found a list of best wood lathe 2017 and see that the Rikon seems OK. Is anybody using that lathe? Give me some idea pls. Thanks

and you can also just buy the alu one from a Ultimaker re-seller (but I can see the appeal in making you're own...)
