Hi Everyone,

Soon it is time for the next Ulti-evening.

Because last edition was such a success we want to keep the interactive part as the core of the ulti-evening.

This time it means we will teach you how to do various and efficient maintenance on your Ultimaker in record time. We will have members of our technical support & repair centre with us!

If you want to know all the tips and tricks, ins and outs and the ropes.. be there!

We will also bring some spare parts for those who are in immediate need!

This workshop will be mainly focussed on the Ultimaker 2.

If you have a special request about a part or Ultimaker Original let me know!

Some more practical information about upcoming Ulti-evening:

Date: 6-10-2014

Time: 17.00 - 22.00

Have the dual extrusion-set about a year now, but also with 5 new shipments from Ultimaker I never got it to work.

Perhaps there is a possibility to take a look with an expert?

Titus: Imo it simply is because most people buy their UM2 assembled and have a lot less hands on experience with tinkering on it. I can hardly imagine that UM won't have another eve dedicated to the UMO.

Btw: I am loving this and will be there for sure!

Small question: Paying for the spare parts, will that be a cash only affair?

@ Titus, everyone from Ultimaker is equally skilled on the UMO as well, so if you have any questions just ask!

And what blizz said, and also because most have build the UMO, so there is less of a barrier to take it apart if needed. It is just a different experience then the UM2.

About the spare parts, if you want to order some let me know.

For the 'tutorial', we will probably just bring some.

I like this and I would love to come, if it was more close to where I live, or if it would be on a Saterday ? Because I normally work until 17:30 ...

Dinykb: its until 22h and you can always come a bit later, not everyone arrives at 17 (on the contrary, most people are later)

I take my UMO with me I have extrusion problems with grey colorfab filament. So having a evening with service and maintenance might fit well. Haven't figured out what it is. Actually I don't think it is the colorfab filament being the guilty one since it is good filament. But after some time printing it just does not want to extrude anymore. When I stop the print I can extrude again.... So I am thinking my hotend temperature is incorrect while printing. Still need to debug that. Did some ABS prints before and they worked well.

    So I will be around.

Such a great and smart opportunity :-P Hope to get my UM2 back tomorrow from the repair center. I'll try to be there!

I would like to buy an extra teflon part and some filament.

@Sander: I was wondering, are there any tools we should preferably bring?

@jroen: If they don't make it perhaps you can beg them to bring your printer to the meet :p

Will probably drop by... if anyone is carrying one of the heavily modded system, I'd sure like to see it, ie. flexible drive, direct drive, etc.

    Hi Coen

Is heated bed modification + E3D hotend + direct drive + 1 power supply enough

    Hi Dirkels

That looks like a big avatar. Quite some colors in it as well. How much time did it take you to print it?

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
