  1. Hi mjhhpdd, Thank you for your post. I am very sorry to hear you have not yet received a reply on your question. Just like Paul said, we are very busy with the release / events and new website. But of course that shouldn't keep us from getting back with our customers. We intend to get back with everyone on a short term now everybody is getting back in their saddle. Please, sent me a PM with some more personal information, so I can look for your order. Your post doesn't give me much to work with. Looking forward to hear from you, thanks. And once again our apologies for any inconvenience our slow response may have caused.
  2. Hi Jisung, Thank you for your post. There is a problem with your address, DHL doesn't seem to recognize it. I will contact you so we can clear this, and ship your Ultimaker. Thank you and have a good day!
  3. Hi Kada, Thank you for your post. If I look at your order I see the order went through properly ('Complete'), the order was paid for ('Paid') and the shipment state is 'Ready'. Once the order will be shipped the status will change to Shipped. I see you ordered an Ultimaker 2, and we start shipping the first machines on October 21st and will do our very best to keep the leadtime under 2 weeks.
  4. Thanks Daid for monitoring this post and giving the information. I just got back from Rome and we are back in our saddle so our response time will be much faster from now on. Thanks for everyone's understanding & patience so far! If you have an urgent open ticket that requires immediate attention please let me know and I will look into it. In the upcoming days we will do our very best to get back with everyone.
  5. amazing!!! The print already looked very good, but the print job is excellent!
  6. Hi LTC, There is a free reel of filament included with the Ultimaker 2. Just like with the Ultimaker Original. However, it will be the Ulti-Blue PLA. So no choosing In build display means the OLED Display, that replaces the UltiController >> Build in. The Direct drive is the replacement of the feeder mechanism. It is the black component on the back of the Ultimaker 2 pictures.
  7. And i just had a brief visit to your stream, looking good!
  8. Thanks for your post. The first 2 pictures are similar, is that on purpose? The tool is meant to place the singular hole on the rod under your frame, and the other end with multiple holes on your rod that crosses your printhead. Put both tools on 1 end of the rod underneath your frame, so at the front and at the back for example. It should indicate if your rods are straight or if they need any further calibration. If one end is closer to the rod then the other one, you can open the corresponding sliderblock, loosen it so it has no tension and move the slider block in a way so the rod are parallel to eachother. Regarding the prints, to me it looks like a problem with either the filament (inconsistant diameter?) Or you could have some dirt in your nozzle that is occasionally interfering with your flow. At what tension is your feeder mechanism? Can you sent a picture of the teethmarks in your filament?
  9. The print looks pretty good to me as well. I suppose the bottom is darker because of the higher temperature during your first layer? As I also wrote to Barnacules (he makes great videos!) personally i am hesitant about this upgrade, because by my understanding, what you are doing is applying force on the bowden tube so it can not move anymore. But my concern is that it also effects the inner diameter of the bowden tube. It only is 3.16mm, If you have any heat traveling up causing the filament to expand or just some thicker filament i can imagine you get high friction very fast. But i am curious to read how you are experiencing this upgrade, since my arguments are merely theoretical.
  10. Hi Sebastian, I am sorry for the delay in our response. With the release of a new Ultimaker 2, a new website and a new system that supports the webshop from the back we get a lot of response. Unfortunately, not everything is working as smooth as we intended, for example the creation of an offer. The system has some difficulties with this at the moment, but I am sure we can find a way around it. I will contact you in a PM and you can tell me what you are looking for. You can also contact iGo3D if you prefer. Thank you, and have a good day.
  11. I don't have an exact date yet, so I would like to ask for some more patience right now. It will be offered as an upgrade pack, as you are used from us. So you could buy an Ultimaker 2 now, upgrade it later and you will have the dual extrusion
  12. It will be made available yes on a short term. We need some time to get everything organised and make some tweaks in the firmware and software. As you can see the hardware is ready.
  13. very amusing! I have never been this confused about my own country! But very entertaining to watch, for sure.
  14. Hi Guy, I will be in the office again Monday, and i will have a look for your email, if you haven't gotten a reply by then. Thank you and have a great weekend!
  15. Hi Nic, in this part i am talking about my communication with Paul. I am sorry of that was confusing. If you need any support in regard of the Z-stage so you feel more comfortable selling it please let me know so i can help you. Good to have you on the community
  16. At the moment we have to prioritize certain things, but Ultimaker-shirts will be made available in the shop. Unfortunately, at the moment we are still very occupied with other activities. Among others, events, new website, Ultimaker 2, tons of questions Next in line: First European Maker Faire > Rome. Hopefully I will meet some of you there!
  17. Hi Paul, Nic and all other participators. Thank you for all your input in this discussion. It is an interesting one to read because it shines light on 2 very different perspectives. I totally understand that Paul feels frustrated about the release of Ultimaker2, but just as GR5 explains, there is always a date. And just before that date, there is going to be people who just missed a release. In contrary to much other releases, the Ultimaker 2 will not out date its previous model. The Ultimaker Original is still a very powerful machine, and will receive continues support and upgrades. I have looked back through the communication history and it was myself who spoke with you prior to your purchase. You did ask me if there was an update coming, and i literally said i would recommend to wait a little bit because a new upgrade would not be very long ahead. At the time we were speaking about a heated bed, (which in fact just like i said is released not long after your purchase). Unfortunately we were instructed to not mention an Ultimaker2, therefor the suggestion to wait (for the heated bed.) Which you solely chose to ignore. As part of our customer service we offer people who bought an Ultimaker Assembled up to 3 months (!) ago the possibility to upgrade their Ultimaker Assembled to an Ultimaker 2. Personally i consider this very forthcoming. I hope you understand we can not take back any Ultimaker DIY Kit's as it takes to much time to check how it has been build, ignoring the percentage of machines that can not be used anymore. We can only guarantee the quality of the models we build. Just like with the release date, there has to be a line. (If anybody has bought an Ultimaker Assembled last 3 months and needs more information about this offer, please contact our team. Our response time is not as fast as usual, but we will reply to everyone. Thank you for your patience.) The fact that the community suggests to try and sell your Ultimaker Original and use that money to buy an Ultimaker2 is only proof that they are willing to think with you for alternatives. It is totally up to you if you want to proceed on this or not. Hopefully my reply was able to shine some extra light on the case and puts everything in perspective. Unfortunately we can not take back an Ultimaker DIY Kit, but like i already said. It is, and will remain to be a very powerful machine. It will continue to get support from both the community and Ultimaker, and it will continue to receive upgrades. With a heated bed as one of the firsts in line. Thank you for understanding, and if you have any further questions, I am looking forward to hear them and answer them for you.
  18. A gorgeous 8 headed printwall constantly shooting automatic generated robots and bracelets at our audience!
  19. Great Idea Ian! Look what we made for the TCT show
  20. I don't really agree with the comparison with Makerbot.. what are the similarities? The release of a new machine that is more expensive then its previous one? That would make the list of companies a lot longer! They went close source, we made a step closer towards the open source field. If you would look a little bit further into the specs you see there are a lot of improvements. - It is more user-friendly, in usage and in the interface - It has an OLED controller - It has an improved hot end design - The feeding mechanism has been improved, which gives you more control over your filament - a heated bed - It is more quiet - It is faster - The electronics are new, and all the parts are implemented into 1 board on the bottom. Which makes it more stable and reliable. - Improved belt tension system. And just like Valcrow says, it is only $200 more expensive then the Assembled Original. If you add a heated bed and new electronics that is not very much. The Ultimaker 2 is not a replacement of the Original, it serves a different customer. But besides the polished look, and the technical skills that are not required to operate it.. it is still open source so you can still open the hood and improve its capacities. Dual extrusion will be released at a later stage, as an upgrade pack. I believe a heated chamber is still under patent, correct me if i am wrong? I don't know the pei print plate, but i believe the print plate we are using works very very good and is also rather compact. I understand some people are in favor of the Ultimaker Original, and some are in favor of the Ultimaker 2. It depends on your needs and goals. If you are happy with your Ultimaker Original, that is great! If you recently bought an Ultimaker Assembled, and you feel like you may have wanted the Ultimaker 2, please contact me and we can talk about the possibilities. I will be happy to help you.
  21. Hi All, I hope you are all enjoying the Live Stream from Erik's speech. While you are looking, I am monitoring this topic. If you have any questions you want to ask Erik regarding the Ultimaker 2 you can post them here and I will ask them to Erik on your behalf! Looking forward to hear what is on your mind!
  22. And like i saw some people asking, yes we will continue upgrading the Ultimaker Original. The release of the Ultimaker 2 will not effect our activities around the Kit. And a heated bed will follow for the Original. So the features of it being up gradable still stands. Even stronger then ever, but that is something that will probably be answered in Erik's speech! ^^
  23. I just made a post about this: http://blog.ultimaker.com/2013/09/20/live-stream-official-release-ultimaker-2/ It also has the link where you can follow the release. @Paul, if you want please email me and we can see about any possibilities. Or at the very least we can consider options. Overall, I am sorry if my response time is slower the next couple of days. I am personally at the release and Maker Faire New York. But i will try to reply to everything asap. If anybody has any further questions, looking forward to helping you!
  24. Hi Alice, I am sorry for my late reply. Given your reply (on the blog post?) i assume the missing pieces have been sent and you have your Ultimaker up and running? I am sorry to hear you had parts missing. Of course we check everything before it leaves, but for example the screws we don't pack every set individually so can not check every single screw. I hope you understand. Anyway, if you need my help for anything, i would be happy to hear from you. Have a great day!
