  1. If you can not find anyone here, you could also look into 3DHubs (website)
  2. Hi Bill, good to have you back on the team I am curious to see what else you will be making with the Ultimaker 2!
  3. Hi Keith, Have you already received a reply from one of my colleagues? I am happy to say that your Power Supply has been sent out today. Please sent me a DM if you want me to sent you the tracking code. Hi Simon, Your Power Supply will be sent out tomorrow. I will also update you with your tracking code once it has been made available for me. Sorry about the mix up guys, I hope it is not too much of an inconvenience!
  4. Hi Roger, Thank you again for your reply. I sent you another response on your post because I want to explain on why we take certain decisions, and perhaps you do not always agree, but hopefully you understand them. But I do not want to start an endless discussion based on this policy. ' If some other production problem causes another ..' Yes, but IF this would happen, I would contact those too. And I still only contact those affected, and cause no unnecessary worrying. It is not the most efficient method for me, but I aim to be efficient in those who I reach out to. The downside is, that it sometimes is fairly short notice. I do my best to contact all those who are in need, and be as pro-active as possible. If you have a question that our sales/support team has not answered yet, please feel free to notify me through a DM, and I will see if I can help you.
  5. Hi Proteus3D, Thank you for your post. Could you sent me a DM with some details of your order? I can give you an update. Thank you for your time,
  6. Hi Keith, Could you take a picture of the Power supply you have been given, and make sure all the values are visible? We just discovered today that approx 20 customers have received the wrong power supply with their Ultimaker 2. It is too weak, what happens is that when the heated bed is activated it shuts down, nothing bad happens to your Ultimaker. Obviously, if this is the case tomorrow first thing we will ship you a new power supply. But to be sure, could you sent a picture? You can also sent it to our support team, they can sent you a new brick.
  7. First there is something I want to set straight: ' gr5, on 07 Dec 2013 - 10:36 PM, said: uh, sorry, no sympathy on that front - when you1 *tell* people to contact you for ship dates, you can't then use it as an excuse on why you aren't shipping. If you don't want people to ask, you should say/post the answer for all that might ask (ie, the initial post on this thread fails at that, since it doesn't cover anyone ordering after Oct 30th). 1[ 'you' meaning ultimaker ]' 'We' did not use anything as an excuse. Although I agree with GR5 saying that it is very important on focusing shipping out the Ultimaker 2 asap, we have different people doing different jobs. So asking about lead times does not directly interfere with the shipping frequency, and no excuses has been used. Now that is clear, sales are still increasing. Increasing sales and the past supply chain difficulties have made/make it very hard to make good progress on the lead time. But I would like to insure we do our very best to ship all orders asap. There is also some kind of contradiction in what Roger says, that is not a lead time you are concerned/annoyed about, but the fact people have paid for something we can not yet deliver the same week. But without anyone paying/ordering an Ultimaker 2, there wouldn't be a lead time. I don't believe there are contradicting posts on the forum, I do my best to keep everybody up to date. It is possible though, that things change. At least, we do our very best to change things for the good, but (with the timing belts as an example), it can happen that something happens that creates an additional delay. Given the fact that we work very hard to make positive progress on the lead time, I don't contact all waiting customers immediately, because there is a chance that within (for example) a 2 weeks notice the problem has already been resolved and instead of contacting everybody, I only have to contact the upcoming orders of 2 weeks. This saves me tons of work (because people also reply, and then I have to comfort them again), and it saves customers a lot of (unnecessary) worrying. Because it is hard to tell how long a problem has its effect on the lead time, I have chosen to contact those who are directly effected. I do my best in my communication to be clear and forthcoming. To compensate those who are delayed, as a compensation for the inconvenience and as a gesture of good will. I am looking forward hearing from you if you have any further questions or remarks.
  8. Hi Xeno, What are you making? Do you have a render that you can share with us?
  9. faberdasherry is highly recommended. If you want to buy from ebay don't go for the cheapest reels. You need quality 'input' (filament) if you want quality output. (prints) As for guidelines, it should be 3mm (in practice this usually comes down to 2.85mm) If it is 2.8 or 2.9 that is all ok, as long as it has a consistent diameter.
  10. Dear Mario, Thank you for your post. I see you are already aware of some of the difficulties we have been experiencing with the Ultimaker 2 that created some additional delay. That is good. I am sorry you have not heard back from us sooner. I would like to add that you have been in touch with my 2 of my colleagues before, and they only have not replied to the ticket you sent yesterday late afternoon. You, and some other customers, will receive an email later on today (I am writing it right now), explaining about the current situation and a new lead time. We have experienced some difficulties that prevented us from sticking to the original schedule. I have been contacting customers about the changed situation, but as you may understand I have waited with this until I knew what the new shipping schedule would be. If I want to give people new information, it is important to have some new information to share. I am sorry if this delay, and communication, has caused inconvenience for you. We do our very best to get back with everyone asap and sent out all the Ultimaker's even faster. If you have some more patience you should receive an email from me within an hour or so. Thank you for understanding, and if you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me
  11. I am surprised you made it to the forum. ultimakor.com or Ultimator don't lead me anywhere You can use google sketch up yes, almost any type of software, as long as you can export STL or OBJ. If you want the Ultimaker Original I would recommend to not buy the dual extrusion yet. Get familiar with the Ultimaker first, upgrade it later. Since it is an upgrade pack, it doesn't matter if you buy it now or later. If you want to buy the Ultimaker 2, Dual Extrusion will be released in 2014 as an upgrade pack. Or pre-build, depends on what you want and when you place the order
  12. How do you mean clipping? And what GR5 is also true. When you are slightly overextruding or when the edges curl up a little bit this can also create a ticking (clipping?) sound, and in worst case tip your support over.
  13. I think that it happens because of a support structure being rather sparse, so it is easier to break off. The fact that it is sparse, and tall, and has a relatively small footprint, makes it easy for the printhead to put it out of balance while putting up the next layer on top. Once it is out of balance it can be knocked over the next time the print head crosses over. What you could try is a bit stronger support structure, or a brim. (not sure about the brim though, if that will help the support structure.)
  14. De eerst volgende is op 16 December in Den Haag. Hierover zul je nog bericht krijgen
  15. Hi Jerry, I was wondering when you would come to the forums. You will have a lot of friends here I figure. Without a doubt you will have a good time, and perhaps we can also inspire you in making new video's! Have a great day Jerry!
  16. haha funny print and it came out great with your paintjob. Did you take her for a walk already? I could imagine it bumping in her face when she runs? Maybe connect it closer to her collar.
  17. Hi Nico, Thank you for your post. Obviously, the mod also caught our attention and I can see some pro's and cons to it. We choose not to do it because once assembled, it is very reliable but it is a rather precise and difficult assembly and would make the assembly and design more complicated. Getting it accurate for 1 machine is one thing, but for 1000+ machines is a different story. The small belts might need some adjusting in a future stage, but it is much easier, faster to build and easy to adjust if necessary. @GR5, why would you move your belts to the outside?
  18. Hi Mnis, Thank you for your post. I will sent you a PM with some details in regard of your order.
  19. I have seen it too a few times, but I never took the effort to remove it, and it never influenced any process. It will just be the first part to be extruded.
  20. 'SavervG's comment of Nov 26 says nothing to anyone ordering after Oct 30, and in some ways is rather insulting to the end user - I feel that saying; 'We can not ship your order based on schedule, but I do not know when it will..' would be even a worse message to communicate. Worse message than what? Saying absolutely nothing until it's finished? ' - Worse than communicating 'I can not ship your Ultimaker now, but I also don't know when I cán ship it out'. In my eyes that would be a worse message to communicate, and I chose not to go down that road. But communicate when I had something practical to say. I choose to calculate a schedule based on our current resources and the hick ups we had to digest. With the scaling up that we are doing I am expecting to catch up on the lead time and at some point catch up on the original schedule I wrote. But right now this is estimating so like I posted on the forum I will contact those whose order is delayed from the schedule on page 1. And if you do not hear from me, you can consider that schedule to be true. If you want to have a specific update and/or estimation please feel free to contact me or our sales team and we will do our best to help you out and give you the information you need.
  21. As always the ulti-evening was recorded and below you can some of the video made. Enjoy! http://vimeo.com/80374263 http://vimeo.com/80374265
  22. Hi Swordriff, Thank you for your post and the efforts you put in writing this down. It is very helpful to beginners to read such detailed instructions on how to make certain prints. It is also good to read that you are willing to think outside the box and create your own workflow. But I think, it is important, especially in how you communicate, that it is clear that it is not the most common way of creating a profile (even though it works for you). And not tell it as an absolute truth, but more like a possibility / alternative. The guys who replied to you are very knowledgeable and really know what they are talking about Have a great day, looking forward reading your next post!
