Erik is one of the founders, the other two are named Martijn and Siert
  2. I believe if you print small parts directly on the perspex plate you might could get away with it.
  3. It looks like it doesn't have enough power. You could try to switch 2 stepperdrivers, but make sure to put them back the right way. Look at the potmeters (tiny screws, only on 1 side) for an indication before you take them out. The stepperdrivers are the small chips connected to your electronic board on the bottom. https://shop.ultimaker.com/en/ultistepperdriver-a4988.html The E stepperdriver is the one that is alone, like not in the row of 3. If that doesn't make a difference, look in your UltiController. If you have an UltiController, go to UltiController > Control > Motion. I don't know from the top of my head what it is called, but what are the values that are connected to 'E' ?
  4. They are included in the kits, and i think from the moment we experienced the silver ones had better grip after a while then the black screws do, we put in the silver ones our selves. But i don't want to cause a mass-panic reaction if anybody reads this and finds black screws in his/her Ultimaker.. They can loose grip after a while, but don't necessarily do so
  5. It is not uncommon that i hear people say that they are removing their files from thingiverse now thingiverse is slowly starting to 'claim' models that makers have uploaded. When you listen carefully there is a call from makers for a new place to host their creativity. We are offering a place to bring everyone together, all (Ulti-)makers. Thingiverse does host a lot of models, but too many imo. And too many insignificant models as well, like 1000 phone covers. What i consider something of great value over thingiverse, is the ability to share, work together and get in touch with other like-minded makers. More like the social aspect you know.. Beside the fact of hosting models, which is only a part of youmagine, another big element is that we intend to bring makers together. A place to start ideas and collaborations. People can start making things again, some have always done this, the active makers. But a lot of people are not there yet, and i can see them using the UltiShaper. Even if it was (only) used as a gateway modelling tool. And something Ultishaper offers that a lot of tools don't (if i am not mistaken), is the ability to take someones design, and change it in a way that it is applicable to your needs. You don't use the STL to work on, but the source. Ideal for editing and personalisation
  6. this is what i call fast service! Thank you Illuminarti
  7. I would first look into the pulleys, all 12 of them. (don't forget the one on the X and Y motor). Besides the fact that i think this is the cause, have you checked if your pulleys are aligned with your rods? Your belts should be parallel with your rods, if they are not more friction will rise when the print head is coming near one of the rods. After a while, it might also be wise to put some sewing machine oil on those X and rods to keep them going
  8. I would also lower the temperature to get rid of this coral, maybe up the speed a little bit. I usually have this when i print the hollow pyramid, which i use to find the sweet spot for filaments. Like a calibration model. I start of with lets say 210°C at 45mm/s, and see some of this coral rising. Then i wipe it off with a screwdriver or something, tweak the temperature and speed and see if it stays gone for a couple of cm. Often i end up with a unrememberable combination of 117% (based on 45mm/s) at 212°C or something. So i write it on a piece of tape and put it on the reel of filament. Usually i only do this for long prints or when high quality is required.
  9. You could also check the flat cables of your UC, i once saw one of them teared up and it resulted in it not being able to read the SD card. Maybe it is not teared up yet, but maybe it tangled up, or just broken inside?
  10. Hi, Please doublecheck the red+yellow wire that is inserted in the screwterminal on your amplifier circuit board. If they look fine, please take 'm out and secure them again. Most likely 1 of the wires is not making a proper connection.
  11. Did you finish this model? Perhaps i missed it, but i never saw it put together Looking forward to see the final results
  12. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand the time is uuppppppppppp.. I will select a couple of jury-members who can rank the designs and hopefully, within the next couple of days/week we will be able to introduce the winner! If anybody feels the need to push one of the designs forward as his/her favorite we will take this into consideration as well Thanks!
  13. Duhhhhhh and thanks, looking forward seeing the design. Huge Marvel-fan right here!
  14. You did read it correct, but i will allow Erik to fill (you) in on the details I am also a true supporter of YouMagine, and along with the contribution and collaboration feature i think it is important and very useful for all participants to be able to make an individual profile where they can list their skills, and show their activity based on like interest, pic of prints, models, other make's beside printing. This could be convenient in sourcing a team to work on projects and will also showcase the most active users. It would be wonderful to be able to easily continue on other people's ideas to make it fit on your personal needs. Sharing and collaborating, nice words!
  15. wow, GUYS!! I haven't checked this topic in a little while and ALL of these amazing prints have been made!!! Absolutely amazing, great stuff!!! I have to ask, @Valcrow, is that hammer up for sharing? @Capn, great looking Owl. I really love the style of the modeler, went to the blogpost as well! The print quality is superb! Is that faberdasherry's stone-grey-colored PLA? Are you going to print more of his stuff? I love character design!!
  16. Cool designs, i really like the belt! I also have one final design, i should be uploaded along with this post. It says: Even the sky is not the limit! showing an Ultimaker robot with a cute astronaut helmet attached to a rocket that is sticking out of an Ultimaker. Unfortunately my free time is limited to such a level that again i didn't find the time to work it out to a proper design, so i have again uploaded the idea. Hopefully you will all like it If you all do, i will make a proper design out of it. If you are interested; you can visit my website (www.SandervanGeelen.nl) to see what it will probably look like in the end. I hope everybody is cool with me uploading another design today. Initially the contest was until, i believe, yesterday. Because, besides me, i saw a few other entries being sent today i will expend it to the end of the week. Monday i will gather my team and have a look at the designs. It goes without saying that i won't have a say in the outcome. I will keep you guys posted, and i am looking forward to those last designs!! As for now i want to thank everybody for taking the effort to come up with an idea / design. Very much appreciated!
  17. Hi Benny, I am sorry to hear you already experienced difficulties with your hot end on such short notice. My advice is when you are experiencing such difficulties or if you can not find a part in the shop to contact the support team. We will be able to help you, and get you back to printing asap. In regard to the shipment of your order, it will most likely be shipped out today so it should arrive most likely Thursday. Have a nice day,
  18. looks fine to me too! Best way to know is to start a print
  19. Hi Johnny, Thank you for your post, and your update about the workaround. On another occasion this sometimes happens when you enter the number of your house prior to the street. Luckily, it is rare but sometimes it happens. I am glad you managed to complete the purchase, thank you and welcome to the community!
  20. Hi Yuriy, I see you also sent an email but i didn't get around to sent a reply yet, so i will reply now Hope that is ok as well. It is no problem to order a Kit when you are not from the EU. But it is not possible to pick it up, I'm sorry. If you want to talk about details or alternatives please sent me a PM. Thanks and have a nice day!
