  1. haha well i could give it a try. I will post my reply on the google groups, no problem. And i have to agree with some posts here that the first one looked like the best one so far. Here in the office we will probably come up with a design which is close to this one. Which i would describe as a more 'obvious' design, close to our corporate identity. I am curious to see what would come out if we would take a (small/big) step away from that corporate identity, and be a little bit more open minded about the design? So still include the robot, but for example have it look more like a (3D-)doodle. I don't know if that would work for the final design, but perhaps it is worth looking in that direction.
  2. Ian, what a great idea! I am happy to let you all know that we are also working on an Ultimaker-shirt, but we are very happy to include a design from our community as well. Of course, we will be taking the price on our account Ian. Don't be silly. We will raise your reel of filament, and offer a RAINBOW of colours, with some gold (filament) at the end of the rainbow, like it is suppose to be, eh? I do expect you to throw in your box of chocolate No one can beat Leipzig Chocolate.. Of course the person who has the most awesome design gets a few shirts as well, and the appropriate credits. I do think the robot should be in the design. Besides that, feel free to express your Ultimaker-feelings. Looking forward to see everyone's input.
  3. Yes there are blogposts containing the video's. (sorry about our late response) Here is an example: http://blog.ultimaker.com/2013/06/09/ulti-evening-event-of-may-2013/ Or go to http://blog.ultimaker.com/ and scroll down. Enjoy the video's!
  4. You could point a hairdryer on your hot end, and see if the temperature rises accordingly. Or fully lower your build platform and put a electric kettle on it, or just a cup of boiled water. You know it should be 100°C As an alternative, can you take out the teflon tube and manually push a new fresh piece of filament through? You should feel zero friction. If you do feel an edge this could also prevent a proper extrusion and create plugs. After you clean everything, please make sure when you assemble everything back together everything is tight. Looking forward to hear about your findings,
  5. very nice! I am very curious to see what it looks like when put together. Will you glue everything together or are there some tiny pins i don't see?
  6. a nice piece of art, right there in your livingroom. Cool!
  7. Amazing print, congratulations! Any chance these files are up for sharing? It would be great to showcase this in the Ultimaker HQ and event we go to.
  8. share it! share it! share it! Man, i wish i could fast forward my learning curve for Zbrush so i could also start making these awesome designs. *jealous*.
  9. haha oh my. I don't think anybody wants to see my Ultimaker corner! But at the moment it is among friends here at the HQ.. catching up with the latest Ultimaker chit chat. But kuddo's for your happy Ulti-Corner Ian! Those crunchy amounts of PLA strings sound awfully familiar. Walking around barefooted or wearing only socks is also not recommended
  10. I have seen it before, i guess it is on thingiverse.
  11. holy shit dude!!!! Frckn awesome!!! I am going to watch the video again. Too bad the model can not be shared.. i am looking forward towards your next design with anticipation!
  12. Totally love this design, (and print ^^) 80 micron.
  13. Oh no you didn't! Awesome print!! .. Now we will forever be boys with toys
  14. Just a quick snapshot with my cell, a better picture will follow. Thanks for this amazing design Vsions! Printed it with gold, not the most forgiving colour to print with. Printed at 80 micron, 50% infill. Its approx 13cm tall. And yet another great print by Colorfabb. Beautifull. I am a fan!
  15. But it is a difficult one, i can think of a few things but they would all be weird causes of the problem because it happens at the exact same spot every time. When you say it happens on all prints, have you tried different models, different slicer? (perhaps Kisslicer) It sounds like something is interfering with the movement.. are you sure there is nothing like dirt or something in the threads of the axis?
  16. I can't watch this video unless i copy paste it in my browser, for some reason i am being redirected to this page. Does this happen to someone else as well?
  17. So am i I think i will give it a try this evening. @ Gadgetfreak, will that model become available as well? (i just read it will be, awesome!) /Vsions, in what software do you/does he usually model/sculp? I used to be illustrator and my main passion was drawing characters. I am working on converting these drawings/ideas into 3D but i am still searching for the best software. I am (to some level) familiar with Blender and Sculptris. But i find both not ideal, perhaps a combination would work better. But if anybody can recommend a software (preferable affordable ), that would be great. I prefer sculpting over 'building' your model.
  18. Thank you for notifying me! But i already downloaded the file! ^^ Hopefully i can find the time soon to print this beautiful model. Thanks a lot!
  19. Like i told you in a personal message, we ran out UltiController parts in the beginning of last week because of a delay from our supplier in China. We got them again Thursday or Friday if i remember correctly, but because the production department was preparing a large batch of Ultimakers for shipment, and easter-holliday, they have planned to ship out support orders (so your replacement cables) tomorrow. I will sent you your tracking number when it is available. I assumed they would ship your replacement part last Friday, but i was not fully up to date of their schedule. My apologies for misinforming you on this point.
  20. Hi Bill, I am just going to reply on a small part of your post because the majority contains a hostile tone i am not fond of; Like i told you in a personal message, we ran out UltiController parts in the beginning of last week because of a delay from our supplier in China. I would like to ask again to keep a friendly attitude on the forums.
  21. Hi Fanplastic, I am part of the Technical support & Sales team, yesterday we replied to all emails that were still open. Have you received a reply yet? If not, perhaps your email didn't get through.. If you want you can pm me, and we can talk over details, or you can sent a new email using the ticket system on our website. My apologies if we kept you waiting for a reply. We intend to answer all emails within 36 hours, of course, sooner is better. Looking forward hearing from you,
  22. And lead time right now is approx 3-4 weeks (instead of 6-7), but we have big plans on bringing this down in a short period of time.. The wiki fits the kit that you are about to order, at the moment we are working on updating some photos. But a combination of this awesome community, the wiki instructions and wiki photos should result in a fun and educational assembly. Oh, and not to forget the technical support team, who are happy to help you if necessary.
  23. amazing!! I would definitely like to give this a try myself, but i already read elsewhere that the STL is not public :( Great job.
  24. It is most likely a calibration issue, try to find the best combination of speed and temperature. And retraction, like mentioned earlier. Try printing at 40mm/s and start at 210°C, if this results in some stringing, try increasing or decreasing the temperature by 5°C. Good luck!
