  1. Hi @gr5 and the gang As the others pointed out...I don't think it's me. Here's my file I have to import everytime I power up to use Colorfabb nGen (I find these settings work great, reducing the 'hairy' prints significantly) I can't figure out a way to attach the txt file asides cutting/pasting it in here [material] name=PLA temperature=210 temperature_0.40=210 retraction_length_0.40=6.50 retraction_speed_0.40=25.00 temperature_0.25=195 retraction_length_0.25=6.50 retraction_speed_0.25=25.00 temperature_0.60=230 retraction_length_0.60=6.50 retraction_speed_0.60=25.00 temperature_0.80=240 retraction_length_0.80=6.50 retraction_speed_0.80=25.00 temperature_1.00=240 retraction_length_1.00=6.50 retraction_speed_1.00=25.00 bed_temperature=60 fan_speed=100 flow=100 diameter=2.85 [material] name=ABS temperature=260 temperature_0.40=250 retraction_length_0.40=6.50 retraction_speed_0.40=25.00 temperature_0.25=245 retraction_length_0.25=6.50 retraction_speed_0.25=25.00 temperature_0.60=260 retraction_length_0.60=6.50 retraction_speed_0.60=25.00 temperature_0.80=260 retraction_length_0.80=6.50 retraction_speed_0.80=25.00 temperature_1.00=260 retraction_length_1.00=6.50 retraction_speed_1.00=25.00 bed_temperature=80 fan_speed=100 flow=107 diameter=2.85 [material] name=CPE temperature=250 temperature_0.40=250 retraction_length_0.40=6.50 retraction_speed_0.40=25.00 temperature_0.25=245 retraction_length_0.25=6.50 retraction_speed_0.25=25.00 temperature_0.60=260 retraction_length_0.60=6.50 retraction_speed_0.60=25.00 temperature_0.80=260 retraction_length_0.80=6.50 retraction_speed_0.80=25.00 temperature_1.00=260 retraction_length_1.00=6.50 retraction_speed_1.00=25.00 bed_temperature=70 fan_speed=100 flow=100 diameter=2.85 [material] name=PC temperature=260 temperature_0.40=260 retraction_length_0.40=6.50 retraction_speed_0.40=25.00 temperature_0.25=260 retraction_length_0.25=6.50 retraction_speed_0.25=25.00 temperature_0.60=260 retraction_length_0.60=6.50 retraction_speed_0.60=25.00 temperature_0.80=260 retraction_length_0.80=6.50 retraction_speed_0.80=25.00 temperature_1.00=260 retraction_length_1.00=6.50 retraction_speed_1.00=25.00 bed_temperature=110 fan_speed=100 flow=100 diameter=2.85 [material] name=Nylon temperature=250 temperature_0.40=250 retraction_length_0.40=6.50 retraction_speed_0.40=25.00 temperature_0.25=240 retraction_length_0.25=6.50 retraction_speed_0.25=25.00 temperature_0.60=255 retraction_length_0.60=6.50 retraction_speed_0.60=25.00 temperature_0.80=260 retraction_length_0.80=6.50 retraction_speed_0.80=25.00 temperature_1.00=260 retraction_length_1.00=6.50 retraction_speed_1.00=25.00 bed_temperature=60 fan_speed=100 flow=100 diameter=2.85 [material] name=CPE+ temperature=260 temperature_0.40=260 retraction_length_0.40=6.50 retraction_speed_0.40=25.00 temperature_0.25=260 retraction_length_0.25=6.50 retraction_speed_0.25=25.00 temperature_0.60=260 retraction_length_0.60=6.50 retraction_speed_0.60=25.00 temperature_0.80=260 retraction_length_0.80=6.50 retraction_speed_0.80=25.00 temperature_1.00=260 retraction_length_1.00=6.50 retraction_speed_1.00=25.00 bed_temperature=110 fan_speed=100 flow=100 diameter=2.85 [material] name=TPU 95A temperature=235 temperature_0.40=235 retraction_length_0.40=10.00 retraction_speed_0.40=25.00 temperature_0.25=235 retraction_length_0.25=10.00 retraction_speed_0.25=25.00 temperature_0.60=235 retraction_length_0.60=10.00 retraction_speed_0.60=25.00 temperature_0.80=235 retraction_length_0.80=10.00 retraction_speed_0.80=25.00 temperature_1.00=235 retraction_length_1.00=10.00 retraction_speed_1.00=25.00 bed_temperature=70 fan_speed=100 flow=100 diameter=2.85 [material] name=nGen temperature=230 temperature_0.40=230 retraction_length_0.40=4.5 retraction_speed_0.40=45.00 temperature_0.25=195 retraction_length_0.25=6.50 retraction_speed_0.25=25.00 temperature_0.60=230 retraction_length_0.60=6.50 retraction_speed_0.60=25.00 temperature_0.80=240 retraction_length_0.80=6.50 retraction_speed_0.80=25.00 temperature_1.00=240 retraction_length_1.00=6.50 retraction_speed_1.00=25.00 bed_temperature=80 fan_speed=50 flow=100 diameter=2.85
  2. @gr5. Thanks for inquiring! I'll post the contents of that file when I'm home this evening! I'd love to know why it won't save
  3. That's a really good idea. Is that one-piece drawing available? I could mill that on the CNC and eliminate that "droop" (Im using 50mm fans tho)
  4. If you're in the USA, talk to your reseller or the Fabrc8 people who assemble them here in the 'States. Erin and Simon are superb to work with. Let me tag Erin @fbrc8-erin
  5. I find the skirt helps with this sometimes...but sometimes, that blob appears near the nozzle and despite the best attempts to tweezer it off via pause....another one will appear!
  6. Do you have a small level tool (also called a spirit level)? Or place a ruler edge on the bed and see if it lays flat across it. I'd be curious if the glass is off any (yet weird this issue just started)
  7. The zig zag support is a bit problematic for me, since I am printing medium to large size pieces that are curved. To reduce print time, I have oriented them vertically but still run into issues where the head nudges into the supports. Z hop helps some. I've never really understood the differences between the support types offered in Cura. The info on the website was absent or vague Re-doing the model isn't really an option for me.
  8. That's interesting that you mention that! I have a few spools of new Ultimaker filament in my UMO and on a few occasions, I have had to open the feeder give it a little shove and close the feeder again to get the filament moving.
  9. Well are we really surprised from someone with 3 posts? Apparently that person's task was the spam the forum and not return.
  10. @ultiarjan , thanks for the photo...that setup makes sense to me now
  11. I've seen the link the filament drybox a few times...is that designed to fit just one spool, or both spools? And how do you attach it to the UM3?
  12. Well, since I don't have to badges...I'll have to stick with Sarcasm
  13. Yeah nothing to do with Cura on this one. @nallath is off the hook! It has something to do with firmware, since that uploaded data is being lost once the machine is powered off. If you have many SD cards, it can be a hassle remembering which one has the materials.txt file on it!
  14. Hi @sandervg Just checking up on the Material.Txt having to be uploaded every time, since it does not store these on the Ultimaker 2+ (Once you power down, it's gone...you have to manually upload it all over again) Any fix in sight?
  15. Like others pointed out, nice promo video but no results! Look, we upgraded the nozzle....then show no prints or for that matter, show it in action! How's the feeder better? Let's see the print resolution! How's it deal with other filaments beside PLA? nGen? CPE? Nylon? He just did a Fil-A-Ween testing all kinds of filaments, let's see that mod use some I like Tom's videos but sometimes I think he is rushing to just post videos without any real merit. If he's looking to pad his YouTube ranking, maybe that helps. If he wants to look credible in the 3D printing community...well...he has some work to do.
  16. A PVA question....can you use PVA support with nGen filament?
  17. Hey that's a great video, and we get to hear the soothing voice of @gr5
  18. Edit Link works now...my browser must've been acting up
  19. I'm sure the team at Ultimaker is just as frustrated by these reports as customers are. I've met the Ultimaker team and they are first rate. I'm sure they'll resolve the problems and sort the issue out. I'm looking forward to purchasing an Ultimaker 3 in the near future.
  20. Are you using the blue horse-shoe shaped shim to lock the bowden tube into place? I don't see it in your photo
