  1. Yeah a bug popped up there. Working on fixing it.
  2. Red means outer shell, green means inner shell, yellow means infill.
  3. That's the engine (which is not a reimplementation). So not really a new cura issue
  4. The config parser of python does weird shit here. Deleting the preferences file should fix this. Both 15.06 and 15.10 should be seen as beta versions.
  5. Beta has both features. It will display a message and you can disable it in preferences.
  6. The layer view doesn't show a full g-code in the new cura. Try saving the g-code and open it in old cura (or another g-code viewer)
  7. The entire design is different. I'm not a mechanical engineer, but what i understood from it that it's the combination of heat and force applied to the teflon part. The culprit in this case is the spring.
  8. Yup. Some firewalls block local sockets as well.
  9. Well, we need to have a measurement plugin with two functions; Convert to Barbarian and convert to proper metric
  10. I think I know what causes it. Shouldn't prove that hard to fix. With a little luck I can fix it monday
  11. Post the log file, might be something in it that I can use to help you.
  12. Yup, noticed that. We changed a bit in the build script, this one slipped through.
  13. Thats a bug, should be fixed for next beta release.
  14. Meh, I might be bothered to build it next week. I will call it the BARBARIAN plugin though
  15. 1) Just the current print. 2) Yes 3) Yes (to my knowledge there is no g-code that can permanently damage your machine)
  16. Yeah, its the beta version that will be the 15.10 release, hence the name (it's not there yet). Could you also try clearing your preferences files? It could be that those are messing things up as the wizard works on my system.
  17. It -is- an open source project We welcome anyone that's willing to help.
  18. Yeah, sorry. I just noticed it right before the builds were already done, so I changed it afterwards. It will be there in the next build
  19. The temperature settings will be overridden. A lot of slicers set the temperature on their end, where with the um2 we believe it makes more sense to let the printer set it (as the printer knows what kind of material it has)
  20. Because my focus is fixing issues, which we've been doing the past month I do give advice about this, but that is the bane of larger companies; Communication takes a lot longer. Yes, yes people do. But we're not with 15 people in a basement anymore. Back in those days it was easy to convince the right people that this was an issue (and easier to find time to fight these kind of battles). R&D is swamped in work, so I (nor any of the people on software) can put energy in all these battles. I try to put energy where my strengths are; improving the software and talking to you people.
  21. PLA degrades over time. Even if its perfectly dry, it's quality will decrease after a while. Try a new bit of PLA and see if the problem is still there.
  22. You're preaching to the choir. I fully agree that we should (and should have) marked the 15.06 release as beta. But it's not my call to make and there is no sense in crying over spilt milk. Like bagel-orb already mentioned, the next release will have a beta state (+- 1 month). During this time no new features will be introduced (feature freeze). This means we will have a lot of time to fix stuff.
  23. Well, I've been pretty straight forward with regards to what the new version of cura is; A beta.
  24. Check if the tension of the spring in the feeder is correct. This can sometimes make a big difference. Old print material can sometimes cause underextrusion aswell.
