The bed levelling implementation is a bad design that needs to be properly addressed as a recall and fix by Ultimaker. These are expensive proprietary machines. Tinkering to maybe get it to work is not acceptable.

Is the front fan spinning when the cores get over 40C? A broken fan or loose wire to the fan can give you an ER31.

Hi apologies I should have said that this problem only occured after upgrade to 5.3.0. They open fine as projects with previous versions of Cura.

Hi is anyone seeing a problem with Cura 5.3.0 where when 3mf files are opened the software does ot always give the option to open the file as a project? Rather the models from the 3mf are just loaded into the already open project/profile?

3Dsolex do some great alternatives to the Ultimaker consumable cores. All the bits on the 3Dsolex are replaceable unlike the ultimaker ones. Great customer service too which is good to know. Printcore CC 0.4 Everlast Ruby – 3DSolex

there used to be an option to over ride cool down lock out..what happened to it. The length of time a simple abort print takes is ridiculous, only to heat up again in seconds usually!

Having real trouble with 5.3.0! Project files mostly don't open with the choice to update a machine, rather just dumps the models into the existing project therefore none of the settings from the project file are loaded in. This is totally unusable for existing projects.

8.1.2 is great many thanks. Also Digital Factory seems much more reliable lately.

It would have been much better to provide all these improvements to the S3 and S5 rather than exclusive features of a new model. Many of the improvements included in the S7 could be argued as remedial work that is required on the S3 and S5 designs. For example the front fan airflow in the wrong direction, problems arising from flooded print head with such an enclosed design. Unreliable bed levelling sensor with vulnerable wiring. Alternatives to the glass build plate unavailable, unsuitable camera resolution and positioning etc.

Great firmware upgrade! Would like to see the reprint functionality return to the local/non digital factory setup though please. Reprint button on the the machine UI screen would be perfect!
