Looks great! Are the print head and build plate available as upgrades to the s5?..Surely Ultimaker don't expect s5 customers to buy an S7 to get these improvements?
-
skip cooldown is a very welcome update.. just need a re-print button now on the machine to quickly go again after a successful print!
-

Do you know the reason for reducing the size of the radiator? -

Ah, the cooling radiator not being big enough would explain it thanks. -

Bought a couple of the 0.4mm cc cores from 3Dsolex for my 5S a couple of weeks ago. Filament gets stuck in the core tube causing retract and core removal issues. Customer support is a joke! -
I have had the same issue and cannot figure it out either! Fiddling around with line widths, temps, print speed, retract values and seam placement made improvements. I can get finer detail, but I cant say that the overall finish over large areas is as good as Cura 4 was.
-
..I should also say that i can see the current temp in the core setting page, can set a value there and see the current temp change.
-
Hi I wonder if anyone has had this issue where the tune screen on S5 does not read the core temp when trying to set temp offset? I can enter an offset value but get no feed back to tell me what the current and target values are. thanks

Don't know whether firmware 7.0.0 intentionally addressed auto bed levelling but it is much better on our machines running this version thanks!

Problem on S5, failed prints get stuck in the print qu and prevent machine from accepting new prints. Only option seems to be to reboot the machine. Any one else getting this issue??

I am finding that the load material cycle is not long enough to purge old material out of the core. I am pushing filament into the feeder until it just grabs (about flush with the top of the feeder). Obvious thing to try might be to poke a bit more filament through but this usually leads to the filament bumping into the core and the feed gear ripping a lump out of the filament and stalling. I am only able to get around the problem by manually pushing filament through to purge. Of course with the material and feeder situated around the back of the machine (genius) this is all a bit of a pain, is there a way to extend the load cycle?
-
It helps, but doesn't fix the problem. The design of the machine should be such that a process which has to be completed before every print is't so prone to failure. If the answer is to remove every little speck of material from the nozzle then build in a wiping system or if the bed needs damping then build it in. I for one am sick of cleaning everything down and then having to stand over the machine watching it auto bed level each time to make sure it works..I might as well manually level the bed!!!!

Print jobs not making it through to digital factory
mrender replied to mrender's topic in UltiMaker Digital Factory
..seems to happen after machine has stopped for a material flow error. Job restarted, finishes normally and then shows as online in Digital Factory as normal, just won't print anything. -

they are running the latest firmware 6.5.2 -
surely the heat expansion could be programmed in as an offset?
