HELLOOOOOOOO :)

remember me,... maybe not.

Anyway.... life keeps on trucking... :)

I convinced my new company to buy a ultimaker 2 extended. It arrived yesterday,

We already printed our first 3 prototypes with a great quality. Seems like ultimaker has done a great job in improving the quality of its product !! RESPECT !

I had nightmares that I would be excusing one bad print after another but no... everything NICE :)

AHHHHHHHHHHHH back into ultimaker world... feesl good I have to say.

Plus now im a normal user.. I can walk around the forum.. chat and share experiences wearing my Winny the Poo bed things... and no one will ever know ;)

Lovely to be back guys.

Big hug.

Ian

haha even if you used a different user name, I would have still recognized this classic 'Ian-post'.

What kind of prototypes are you making? anything you can share?

Good to hear you are happy with your Ultimaker :)

    Thanks guys.

I work for a company designing new electric motors for boats... big and small.

There are not too many in Europe so I guess some of you know what company I am talking about.

I think Ill be printing out some existing models for customers soon and those I can show here but the new stuff is under raps for the moment.

Great to be back guys !

    Ian :)

And make sure to upload it in the print section :)

When this thread is a few pages further the most amazing prints get lost. Which is an absolute shame. On the Print section you always keep the overview over the uploads and see what everyone is making.

This was not printed with an Ultimaker, so I don't think it would fit into the latest print section :)

it was printed as one solid piece 1,3 Meter in length.

I can't talk about it in detail yet, I was just hired to do the paint work :)

    hi guys.

im sure I can show off some nice stuff but I have to be careful that I dont show off any new upcoming products.

At the moment im printing a 1 to 1 model of a battery pack lid that we are developing. Im going to print the base, lid and inside battery as seperate parts and then print in different material the screws and washers... :)

    Ian :)

    hahaha! Congratulations @Electromu!

Did you also feed it some special filament to celebrate?

I knew about the song-application, but the fan blowing out the candle was a great touch and the confetti was the figurative speaking cherry on the cake!!

I'll forward this to our department, I'm sure they'll love it!

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
