    I2K Insulator Woes

    A 1mm shorter TFT coupler allows for using the hotend spring with the original tension or the standard Korneel spacer. However, it should be possible to use even the spring with the standard size I2K (my UM2 is configured for now over half a year with an I2K and a DupTef - no issues so far).

    @drofnas: You write that you use a spacer based on Korneel's design. Can you please comment on the differences?

    @Dim3nsioneer think it would be pretty nice for vases and stuff if you could add a "fuzzy skin" on/off  to Tweak-at-Z.

     

    Hmm... that's slightly outside of the current TweakAtZ scope. However, scope can change. If someone want's to write something 'fuzzy' for the TweakAtZ I would certainly include it. I guess one would have to start with a clean gcode and add the fuzzyness the same way to it as Cura does it.

    Just had to re-login. Guess someone flushed a cache...

    When re-logged in, found two notifications. One was a ghost notification and the other one said there was a new reply (without number so that means 1, right?) but the topic had two new replies. Maybe this helps to narrow down the issue.

    @SandervG: I have another suggestion for the forum:

    Sometimes people get a bit off-topic (me too). It would be useful if one had a mark where the off-topic part begins with a link to where the topic actually continues. A moderator could insert those mark-link combinations.

    Colorfabb HT co-polyester - why another one?

    Today, @colorfabb anounced their new material HT:

    It's another co-polyester with high glass temperature (100°C). While this is interesting it leads to the question how many slightly different materials we will see from Colorfabb. Will they continue all of them? While such a variety of compounds might be interesting for more professional work, it might confuse consumers.

    What do you think about another new material? Do we have some beta testers among us which could shed some light on the new material and tell us how it differs from NGEN and XT apart from the glass temperature?

    @ULTIMAKER2EXTEND, beziehst Du Dich bei Deiner Aussage auf Ultimaker selbst oder einen Distributor? Bitte unterscheiden; im zweiten Fall sind diese Informationen ganz wichtig für Ultimaker um effektiv etwas am Service verbessern zu können!

     

    Schon mal versucht von DE aus mit Ultimaker in Kontakt zu treten? Ging bis letztes Jahr Oktober noch, seitdem antwortet auf direkte Anfragen immer igo3D.

     

    Das bedeutet also, Du bist mit dem @igo3d Service nicht zufrieden, korrekt? Den ersten Trick siehst Du ja schon mal: ich habe iGo3D, die auch einen User-Account hier auf dem Forum haben, verlinkt. Vielleicht macht das ja bereits jemand auf Dein Problem aufmerksam.

     

    Nicht mal unser zweiter UM2 mit altem Mainboard wurde kostenlos auf das neue umgebaut.

    Das habe ich nicht verstanden. Hast Du erwartet, dass ein funktionierendes Ultiboard 2.1.1 durch ein Ultiboard 2.1.4 kostenlos ersetzt wird? Der Unterschied ist im Wesentlichen nur die Ansteuerung des 5V-Lüfters soweit ich weiss. Aber vielleicht habe ich es ja falsch verstanden?

    @ralfbuschbiz: Interessante Erkenntnis. Vor knapp einem Jahr wurde ja die früher schwächere Feder gegen eine stärkere ausgetauscht. War da ev. zuviel des Guten?

    @mieserdrucker: Falls Du Deinen Drucker bei IGo3D gekauft hast, kläre doch bitte mit deren Support allfällige Rückgabe-Randbedingungen. Falls Du Dich vom IGo3D-Kundendienst nicht ernst genommen fühlst oder den Drucker bei Ultimaker direkt gekauft hast und mit deren Kundendienst nicht zufrieden bist, wende Dich doch bitte an Sander van Geelen (@SandervG), den Community Manager dieses Forums. Er ist ein sehr hilfsbereiter Mensch und hat schon in manchem verfahrenen Fall erfolgreich eine für alle befriedigende Lösung vermittelt. Einen konstruktiven Beitrag für Polemik zu kidnappen ist halt schon nicht ideal...

    Ich kann jetzt nur für Simplify3D sprechen.

    Und da ist es möglich, das er bei jeden verfahr weg Retract + Vertical Lift erfolgt. Ob da jetzt aber überhaupt keine Spur mehr zusehen ist kann ich dir nicht sagen.

    Der Entwickler @Dim3nsioneer des oben genannten Plug-In ist hier in Forum tätig, der kann dir bestimmt weitere Info geben. Ich konnte mir das Plug-In nicht Downloaden? Scheint aber schon recht alt zu sein Version14.07, keine Ahnung ob das noch mit aktuellen Cura Version läuft.

     

    Das Plugin-Verzeichnis auf der readonly-Wiki ist veraltet. Hier gibt es die neuste Version von RetractWhileCombing inkl. Doku. Allerdings nicht für die aktuellen Cura-Betas, da von offizieller Seite geplant ist/war, in diese Richtung etwas in Cura einzubauen.

    Such an innovation platform might be an interesting thing indeed. However, after the story of Makerbot trying to patent user designs the terms of use of such a platform should be clearly communicated. There is nothing wrong if Ultimaker would like to use the results of such a platform for their own development but it has to be declared accordingly.

    Es gibt den TFT-Coupler von 3dSolex. Zusammen mit dem I2K-Coupler ebenfalls von 3dSolex bildet er das TF2K-Duo, für das 3dSolex eine Garantie von 6 Monaten gegen thermischen Verschleiss bei Dauerbetrieb mit 300°C gibt.

    Warum bieten die das nicht bei ebay oder Amazon an? Sich bei irgendeinem Shop zu registrieren ist nicht jedermanns Geschmack.

    Coupler ist klar, aber was soll das „TF2K 300C Combo 30€, 6 month guarantee!“ sein?

    Hat das schon jemand getestet?

     

    Kommissionen an Handels-Platformen abzudrücken ist auch nicht jedermanns Geschmack auf der Händlerseite ;)

    Über das Vertriebsnetz von 3dSolex wird auch der Support sichergestellt. Die Vertreter sind von @swordriff sorgfältig ausgewählt worden, um ein Maximum an Support-Knowhow bieten zu können. Nicht wenige der Vertreter sind ausgewiesene Ultimaker-Kenner aus diesem Forum oder Ultimaker-Reseller; sie kennen sich also aus. Wie sich sicher einige erinnern können, hat 3dSolex im Direktvertrieb angefangen. Ab einem bestimmten Bestellvolumen ist ein weltweiter Direktvertrieb mit einwandfreiem Support einfach nicht mehr möglich.

    Das TF2K-Combo besteht aus einem TFT-Isolator (den Ultimaker mit dem neuen TFM-Isolator in ähnlicher Form inzwischen 'übernommen' hat) und einer I2K-Isolationsscheibe (dünne Scheibe aus Hochleistungskunststoff, die zwischen Edelstahl-Isolator und TFT-Isolator geklemmt wird). Die sechs Monate Hersteller-Garantie beziehen sich auf die thermische Belastbarkeit bei 300°C Dauerbetrieb, d.h. wenn der TFT-Isolator vorher wegen der Hitze den Geist aufgibt, gibt's umsonst einen neuen.

    The original post has 94000 views, where our top hit has only 400.

    You want it ranked on the amount of views i.e. popularity?

     

    Well, the guys at Mountain View have some experience with their search algorithms... it occurs as natural to me that finding the subject in the title should lead to a heavier weighting. The number of views might be an indicator but could also lead to a dead end... I still don't get why you try to write your own search algorithm instead of using Google...
