  1. While you wait, check the wires's connection to the motherboard.
  2. The back, middle fan should be on always. It is hard connected, no PWM here.
  3. Aj-aj-aj! The first reported leak! I use the PLA version of the torque wrench, I have not used a "real" one with a read out. PLA is pretty stiff! I always change nozzle at full temp, 200-220C. This way, any residual PLA in the hot end intermediate chamber is soft will "flatten". Curiously Sander at UM asked me about leak today, and I said it NEVER LEAKS. So all this did not happen, Do you hear me??? haha!
  4. They will send you a new TEFLON coupler, not an UM2, Id be surprised! I am bringing out a washer which is even more strong than a vespel made one. Within weeks. We have printed 300 hours ABS at 260 so far and Teflon looks like new. Problem is that the material costs close to 1.500€ / metre, and you lose som when cutting it and it is difficult to cut it straight. Thanks.
  5. The Block with exchangeable Nozzle is completely sold out with a large underrun as well. You can PM me and you will have one from the next batch. Then you can use any M6 standard nozzle, I have 0.25-0.40-0.80mm The standard UMO nozzle works well too!
  6. Dear Mohissa! I am sure they will send you a new version when you ask. Personally, and many with me, prefer the old one, it is much more slippery, letting the plastic move more easily! Also I am not sure if the "glass impregnation" helps longevity.
  7. Dear reibuehl! ill send you! i have it since Meduza tipped me off! Please contact me.
  8. On my UM2, I had suffered this symptom after about 200 hours print. The cables for the temp sensor where not sufficiently connected to the PCB. My heated bed would not always be hot, so i opened up and the screws in the green connectors on the PCB where very loose. The connector for the hot end temp sensor was almost falling off ... And like Monsieur Klein says, Teflon! If youve printed ABS it is cooked for sure. Even if it looks ok-ish it will collapse and grip the filament under pressure. Loosen the 4 long vertical screws a bit too, I learned from the veterans here..
  9. Material flow 120-140% keep it flowing, turn off retraction. 210C/60 works well. 230 darkens it! Standard nozzle will be clogged with woodfill. Fine may work, anyone tried? Custom Block and 080 nozzle works super. Layers are not well visible with wood fill. It is a gratifying material with a nice "odeur"..! Seems Woofill corse may work with 040 nozzle: "Woodfill fine can be printed with standard 0.4mm Nozzles, but our WoodFill coarse needs a special 0.8mm nozzle to allow the bigger wood particles to pass through. If you’re 3d printer can switch nozzles easily then we definitely recommend trying to print with a bigger nozzle anyways, it is awesome!"
  10. Sali! I be' im moment usverchauft. Wenns nöd cha warte, hät der gr4 in Boston no einigi. Sösch muesch öppe zwei woche warte.. schickschmer a PM ? Merci!
  11. Possible to unhook belt and try turning the rod by hand? Feel the ripple?
  12. http://umforum.ultimaker.com/index.php?/topic/3543-lubricating-the-axis/ Lets hear how it went! Use thin "machine oil" if you do not have what I recommend... Do NOT USE WD-40 or something similar. It is aggressive and turns into WAX with time. Edit: I have had this strange noise, and went away with lubricating the axis, using Q tips. It prevents an oscillation between the axis and the rod-glide assembly
  13. Hey! OFT sind die Klemmschrauben am mortherboard die die leitungen zu dem heizbett befestigen, sehr locker!
  14. Dear Dan! Think of it as an aircraft, lots of different parts, each part with different service life. The motors need change after a while, the electronics, the rubber seals, the pumps, the other pumps, even the seats, and eventually the pilot! Take the 747 as an example, one of few machines which has given name to a "size", - Jumbo... it is used in other contexts, jumbo chocolate, burger,, etc . this is totally beside the point. A little over 1.000 747's are built. A comparable (and better) aircraft today costs many hundred million dollars EACH. ( Have you got a calculator with many digits?). Out of these 14 have crashed. They could not be repaired. Digression here: Now.. Most of the other ones are still in service, they have 10s of thousands of flight hours, easily outlasting any pilot!! And they are fantastic!! Once, before 9/11, I was allowed to sit in the cockpit from before push-back until dock. It was an empty semi cargo from Gothenburg to Oslo. The seats in front are electric, they slide into position after you get in.... There are 8 engine control leveres in the middle between the captain and the XO. I was sitting in a 4th seat behind the captain. This is ca in 1982. On the start grid, "Scandinavian 211 you are cleared to take off RWY 28, no wind, next Whiskey point 1, 4.000" or something similar BOTH the captain and the XO had BOTH their hands on the 8 engine control levers. These levers control power and forward/reverse. All 4 hands moved the levers to the front in a surprisingly long movement. After 2 secs, there was an enormous build-up of thrust, and almost no engine noise at all. Just the push in he seat, more- and more and MORE! When rotating (remember I am in the nose of the plane, not in monkey-class in the back), the lift upwards is enormous, even before the main gear has lift off. Its fantastic. It is like taking an elevator from 5th floor to 10th floor in 3 secs. The captain later told me they use considerably less than 1.000 meters runway for the take-off! Now.. this was an old plane even then. A lot of parts have been changed, even the toilets... get it? Eventually, the upkeep and cash lock-in is more expensive than buying a new model, so prices of the old ones go down to fill the gap. ( you canprobably pick one up for only 50-75 million dollars with thousands of hours left in it!) Your UM2 is going to last a long time, and you will be replacing some parts as you go along. In 3 years, no wait, in 1 year you will be able to buy a multi-color printer doing ca the same as an UM2 for the same price or lower, possibly from Ultimaker themselves... I am personally a total fan of Ultimaker, it is maybe not the best printer in every respect, but overall, its the best, in my subjective opinion! Enjoy the ride!
  15. You must "increase" the window view, and there is a cancel "X" to the right!

  17. Not possible for US customs to approve it, here is why: The Block is designed from the "bottom" and up by Anders Olsson, from Sweden. He works as a ******* scientist. Sweden is the country which, measures per capita BY FAR OUTSHINES all other countries when it comes to mechanical engineering, metal work, workshopping etc. They invented steel half a millennia ago, exported it to Japan and China for several hundred years.. This is the only little country which until just recently had no less than two car manufacturers, they design and build their own fighter jets, (don't mention the Wasa), the list goes on.. There is no way, that anyone on the East Coast can improve it. I am proud to come from a country so close to Sweden, as Norway is! Now, we only need to convince him to focus on the Dual Extrusion! edit; Okey,, possibly someone on the North East Coast could...
  18. @gr5: "I have a shipment of 10 sitting in New York for about a week now. I don't know what the hell takes so long." My guess is that the customs officers have never seen anything quite like it! .. ("Mua-ha-ha...")
  19. Without the fan perhaps the plastic is allowed to "settle" more...
  20. make a factory reset (Maintenance, Advanced, ) use a pre-set quality setting. Print pla at 220 / 50 Try again
  21. Sorry again! It was a joke!! !! (lots of guys in Switzerland and France had an extra heartbeat now... sorry again..). Look danilius: They are not THAT easy to get just right, lots'a little corners that need to be just right.. They are in manufacture now for delivery in ca 12 days time. -carl
