  1. Another Faberdashery fan. Have bought quite a lot from them now, mainly Black. The silver is nice and I have not used my Glow in The Dark Green yet lol. Have tried colorfabb once but had a few problems, so haven't gone back to it since.
  2. Guiness for me Ian, on my 4th pint already
  3. Yeah I had a very brief play with zbrush some years ago but lost patience pretty quickly. I already have sculptris on my pc too, but haven`t managed time to play yet. I think really, when I use 3D cad all day as a job, i`m too lazy at home to then start learning other 3D stuff... :???: .. its a shame tho, because I love the stuff that people create in zbrush. I use Keyshot for rendering stuff at work, and am always in awe at the zbrush users on the forum. Some awesome creations.
  4. I think he refers to the video in the OP link illuminarti, the hot end resting on the build plate for a while.
  5. Coming from 10 years using parametric cad systems, zbrush is so alien to me... I dunno where to start . I love the stuff that people create with it, but I want the skills immediately without having to wait and train for years lol
  6. One of the 3D printers we have in our company, a HP printer, has a small wire brush located at the back of the build plate. In the software settings you can program the nozzle to be dragged through the wire brush before the start of a print and also at any time during the print.
  7. That 92 hour Braddock print looks great, I should download that model of his.
  8. I can see why you had a lot of fun doing that
  9. I love the idea of doing photography, I love the photographs that some people achieve... the magazines are amazing. I love the macro stuff... but, I`m too lazy and impatient to really be a good photographer. I went travelling for 5 weeks last year, around Peru and Bolivia, so I wanted a small camera which wasn't a hassle to carry around, but better than a crappy point & shoot.. I bought a Canon G15, amazing little gadget. I just have to learn how to use it lol
  10. I have received the step file of the part, so I will try again when I am back home later and see if a smaller .stl does the trick.
  11. In that case... brilliant. Glad you made it to the front page You into photography? Which camera do you use? At work right now... bored! Think I need a career change :???:
  12. On the second print, try just a small amount of extra glue around the print area, see if the glue gives a little bit of "extra grab" to the filament. Works for me sometimes, I think I have experienced this same issue you are having. I find that the glass plate feels weird where a print has just been removed...almost a little too dry. Dunno if this makes sense lol :???:
  13. Hey guys, the .STL was sent to me by somebody else...it is 190Mb  ! I have emailed asking to send me a step file so I can convert to .STL myself. My laptop runs CREO, KEYSHOT and CURA pretty well... its a dell XPS 17 with dedicated graphics and 8GB RAM ( I sinstalled 16GB, but it didn't like it ) lol.
  14. I have to say, that the OP...denisvic, has a right to complain. When you spend a large chunk of cash on anything, you want it to be right. Plus, it only helps product development when people want something better That said, I also agree with all the points said above. My UM2 has this rattle/wabble too, but the second job I printed was a set of feet that sit under the machine...wobble stopped
  15. Hi Everyone For the first time tonight, I am receiving this error whilst trying to load a model into Cura. It`s a large .stl file. Is there anything I can do to conquer this? Is there are maximum stl file size that cura accepts? Maybe I need more RAM lol Ta Skint
  16. Hey Omar, it`s just a small grub screw ( M3 I think, not near my printer to measure ). Should be easy to find one
  17. Lovely job Conz. Hope you got some free supplies out of him
  18. Awesome gr5... although didn't they ask permission before using your pic?
  19. Same as gr5. Infact first round, I sometimes just skip and go to round 2
  20. Awesome Ian !! Although a few too many pictures look like a professional advert for Ford Kuga`s lol. I have driven through Austria, beautiful place! Now I need to go book a snowboard holiday.
  21. Wallan, that looks a great quality print mate.
  22. Thanks Aaron, I learnt a lot making it, that was the main aim... ( plus my friends 40th birthday was 3 weeks ago, I`m late lol ). Still a few bits to add. Now that its almost finished, I look at it and wish I had been more patient and printed it at much better settings... but 3 weeks late would of turned into 6 weeks Its so cool being able to just design and build whatever you want isnt it!! I wish this technology was this available when I was a kid. Now.. I need a new project. Any ideas? @Braddock....how`s the T800 Head coming along lol
