  1. I bought some Faberdashery silver filament and need to try it out to see how it looks. Amazingly, all those terminator parts are printed very fasy and .2 layers. Some of the parts are quite dodgy but they`ll do for a friends present, if I was to make another for myself, I would print much nicer. Had fun with it tho
  2. BUY a UM2. Check out the Latest Print section to see all the ace stuff that its making
  3. What happens when.... ... the Ultimaker Robot meets The Terminator robot?  . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
  4. LMAO Aaron, plastic in the beard  mind you, looking at your photo you could go to work with a full bird colony nesting in there haha !! I will take some pics of the arm later and post.
  5. Awesome job Aaron, looks a piece of art sat on the print bed! I can imagine the patience you have to glue all those parts together. My termiinator arm has been a great first project, basically my first print lol. But I have glued parts, tapped and threaded parts, used a solder iron to weld parts, broken many parts and either reprinted or fixed parts, melted parts, scratched parts, Eaten parts haha... you name it this terminator print has helped me learn quite a bit about printing, so I am glad I have done it... I am also glad its almost finished The friend who its for I am sure will love it.
  6. Awesome models Shurik, that guy has some great skills! the dioramas sound great fun too
  7. great to see you back Aaron, that skull looks superb! I should print some update pics of my terminator arm. It`s almost done, apart from HOW to make it stand up .. lol
  8. Yes that`s the solid infill, you may need a bit of infill to support the top surfaces depending on the size of the wheel
  9. Omar`s settings 30/mms 75 bed temp print temp 210-220 I would check that the feeder is pulling material though properly without slipping and also reduce bed temp from 75 to 60c. Is the role of filament a full new one? Make sure there are no tangles.
  10. Haha, I was wondering what the hell that was too.. hopefully you can quit that habbit soon Looks a great print! So many cables in your UM2, where are your covers lol
  11. Stick the filament in a plastic container with a lid.. and inside place an open bag of rice Cheap option
  12. Omar, which print settings were you using? Bed temp, print temp, etc.
  13. I`m getting old now woofy...I`ll need more than 16 tablets
  14. I had a cheeky day out of the office yesterday and attended a D3D Live exhibition. Full of 3D printers and scanner and all designer stuff... keyshot, CREO, Solidworks etc. Makerbot were there and stand was busy... shame I didn't see Ultimaker :( I was offered a job too, which was nice Nursing a bad hangover this morning, as I started drinking at 2pm and got home at 1 am  :???: :???: :???:
  15. Great print. The skin detail and veins are showing nicely. Have you done any post work on that or is that straight of the printer ?
  16. Looks like a great start braddock.. looking forward to updates.
  17. That looks awesome Braddock... the print you had trouble with was a leg of this right ? I really should learn zbrush!
  18. www.develop3dlive.com In Warwickshire tomorrow. Might have a day out of the office
  19. Hey fingerpuk I think breaking down larger projects into smaller pieces to be assembled is the best way to achieve decent prints. I have taken a terminator arm model recently and basically redesigned every part to be in pieces. The original CAD model could of had just around 30-40 pieces, but I reckon ive ended up with double that. Will post pics later tonight. I don't think there is a Right or Wrong way to achieve your model.. just as long as it works
  20. Whoa! Some awesome prints lately. Valcrow, that rusty Jenner looks superb, such great details. Your photography is good too, I should get my Canon out instead of using my iphone lol I have been away all weekend, but tonight I will post some updates on the terminator arm Edit : Leo, welcome to the forum. Great to see another UM2 owner. I bought mine from Imakr too. I had the same thoughts as you on the form1, it has a promising future but for now there are too many negatives.
  21. How was the interview Ian ? I went hiking all weekend too, went to Wales and Hiked up Snowdon ( largest mountain in wales ). Sat in my office now, with achey legs! Wishing I was back on that mountain.
  22. Hi printed.man If you look from the rear of the printer ( stand near the filament ), you will see a third fan on the back of the head.
