  1. Hey @JighIV, Welcome to the Ultimaker Community 🎉 Which post-processing script are you referring to? What do you want to do? A very common one is the Pause At Height script. There you have to indicate which flavor you are using. Did you select the correct code flavor, I believe you need Marlin.
  2. Hey @agf998, Welcome to the UltiMaker Community 🎉 I don't have any experience with IDEX 3D printers but there seem to be a number of tutorials on youtube on how to get an IDEX printer in Cura. There is also this cura plug-in that seems to help weedo x40 users. http://x40-community.org/index.php/9-cura-workflow/27-cura-plugins There are also a number of 3D printers that already ship with Cura that have Duplicate/Mirror functionalities. Like: - Sri Virgan Technologies Arjun 300 and Kosher - Blocks RD50 Maybe you can use those as inspiration? Hope this helps 😅 I hope there are more community members that can help you out more than I can.
  3. Hey @JStolars, I moved your post to a separate thread. I'm having some trouble understanding what you need help with. 😅 What problem are you encountering? Do you want to upgrade your Cura but are you worried that you are losing your settings? Have you tried making a back-up? You can read more about that here: https://support.makerbot.com/s/article/1667412704080
  4. Hey @Tschintna, Sorry to hear the new tree support didn't give you the improvements you were looking for. Do you have a screenshot or a project file so we can use it as a test case? A project file contains the printer and settings we need for troubleshooting. To save a project file go to File -> Save project. If the default circles are too small you can consider increasing the following settings: - Tree Support Branch Diameter - Tree support Trunk Diameter Unfortunately, the noise that your printer produces when printing in circles changes per printer and is related to your hardware, it's not something we can resolve in Cura. You can also scout on the internet to find the type of upgrade you need for your printer to reduce the noise.
  5. Hey All, It seems I haven't followed up on this. 😅 I discussed the issue with the team and they also see value in adding a way so certain settings always show up when you use a modifier mesh if you work with a lot of them. For internal reference CURA-9668. Let's hope it gets a high enough priority to implement soon. Fingers crossed 🤞
  6. Hey @ECOULTIMAKER, Your request reminds me of this conversation: We've added a ticket to the backlog with the intent to improve this in the future, but we don't know when yet.
  7. Hey @Sven_Hinrichs, Welcome to the Ultimaker Community 🎉 This looks like something that the ThingiBrowser does. You can read more about it here: https://github.com/ChrisTerBeke/CuraThingiBrowserPlugin It get's more trickier if you try to load a file format that is not supported This is a list of supported file types https://support.makerbot.com/s/article/1667411286871 Can you help me understand, what problem are you trying to solve?
  8. Hey @cdr-automatisierung, This, Small Layer Printing Temperature, is a newly introduced setting in Cura 5.3.It was assumed that nobody would raise their initial printing temperature above the final printing temperature. But we see more reports of people doing this, so I'm discussing with the team if we can resolve this for more people. You can do two things: Easy option 1: lower your initial printing temperature. Option 2: Change your max/min into a warning. Go to the following folder C:\Program Files\UltiMaker Cura 5.3.0\share\cura\resources\definitions To find the following file fdmprinter.def.json Find the Small Layer Printing Temperature definition Change "minimum_value" to "minimum_value_warning" and "maximum_value" to "maximum_value_warning" Save the file and restart Cura to slice Hope this helps 💪
  9. Hey @BastelWastel, I brought your question up with the team. They pointed out that this is probably because the "name" and the filename are EXACTLY the same. Your issue should be resolved if you slightly alter one of the two. For example, rename your file to Eloprinter_Max.def.json Can you let us know if this worked for you?
  10. Hey @libertyhouseplans, It has not been addressed yet, but we still have the intent to improve this. Sorry for the inconvenience. You can download previous versions of Cura here: https://github.com/Ultimaker/Cura/releases?page=2
  11. Hey @herzla, You can send me a private message with the model if you prefer not to have the model public. We are aware that in some cases the Skin Edge Support Thickness, might heavily influence slicing time. https://github.com/Ultimaker/CuraEngine/pull/1850 This should be resolved for the 5.3 Stable that is to be expected somewhere this week. You can check if it's applicable to your model by reducing your Skin Edge Support Layers to 0 and checking if that influences your slicing time.
  12. Hey @CaitlinLucy, Welcome to the Ultimaker Community 🎉 Cool survey and a super interesting topic👍 What's the school you are taking the survey for? Are you aware of any of these initiatives? - Precious Plastics - Perpetual Plastics Project - https://www.3devo.com/ - This KLM project - Fishy Filaments - Recycling Fabrik
  13. Hey @KWDesign, Welcome to the Ultimaker Community 🎉 You might have a software subscription linked to your account, that only shows you verified plug-ins. Plug-ins that have been checked for security flaws by an external party. Don't tell your IT admin, but you can still download the plug-ins by logging out, installing them, and logging in again. Does that help you get unstuck? If that's not it, do you mind sharing some screenshots of what you are encountering?
  14. Hey @cjh83, Both the wifi and webcam have improved significantly in the S7! 1. The S7 comes with a new wifi module. It enables you to connect to 5GHz as well, giving you more options to create a stable connection. 2. The webcam has improved and has a new angle where you can see more. I really think it's an improvement. These are some screenshots from the Digital Factory of the printjob I am running now:
  15. Thanks for all the feedback over the weekend 🥰 @qwerty8224, Support Horizontal Expansion, seems broken on my side as well. That definitely looks like a bug. 🪲, I'll have the team take a look 👍 @qwerty8224 Are you seeing missing layers between the raft, support, and the model? Because that's a known issue that should be resolved in stable, you can read more about it here: https://github.com/Ultimaker/CuraEngine/pull/1834
  16. Oh, if the orientation you see is different, you might be seeing some ringing/ghosting. That is often linked to buffer underrun, where you have too many actions in a short amount of time and the printer cannot keep up. You can quickly see that by increasing your resolution settings, which will reduce the number of segments. Are you up to date with Firmware and Cura versions? We've made big steps in reducing the buffer underrun with the default settings, but you can only use them if you have a firmware version over 7.0.3 and a cura version over 5.1
  17. 🌍 Update Translations should be available now. If you are missing them, please upgrade from 5.3.0-beta.1 to 5.3.0-beta.2 🙏
  18. I know, the naming is confusing 😕, but this Beta does not contain the new tree supports. There is still too much to tune and improve. It's more likely going to be released with Cura 5.4 so we can give it the proper attention. The attention it deserves, because it's super cool 💖 If you have input on how we can improve the tree support, we still would love to hear it here: https://github.com/Ultimaker/Cura/discussions/14111
  19. Wow! @Cuq, thanks for the heads up. 😮 I'm bringing it up with the team to see what we can do to resolve this.
  20. The Cura 5.3 Beta with these printers has now been released. 🎉
  21. You can find a version of this fix in the new release of Cura. Thank you so much 💕
  22. Surprise! The Beta has been released! You can download it here: https://github.com/Ultimaker/Cura/releases/tag/5.3.0-beta.1 Happy Printing!
  23. Hey @Jhawk6553, Ahh... I think I understand. I have not tested this, but if you are just printing a thin Lithophane in this printjob.... It might be worth it to just change the following settings: - Infill 0 - Wall Line Count 2 - Top Bottom Thickness 0 That you might have the hollow printjob you are looking for.
  24. Hey @Jhawk6553, I also wasn't really sure what was happing in your print so I showed it to the team. They referred me to the description of the Wall Ordering Setting: "Determines the order in which walls are printed. Printing outer walls earlier helps with dimensional accuracy, as faults from inner walls cannot propagate to the outside. However printing them later allows them to stack better when overhangs are printed. When there is an uneven amount of total innner walls, the 'center last line' is always printed last.", What you are seeing, is the Center Last Line, which is always printed last. I think that it's an odd wall, so if it's heavily impacting your print quality you can try to change the Minimum Odd Wall Line Width.
  25. Hey @TeTchedCustoms, Welcome to the Ultimaker Community 🎉 I'm not sure if it's exactly what you are looking for, but you can change the Per Object Settings for your different models. You can select a setting called Brim Distance. I personally use it to make the brim easier to remove or to exclude some models from a brim altogether. Would that perhaps also work for your problem?
