Sliced Model Showing Gray Gaps/Holes In Model
RogueWave replied to GoingForGasps's topic in UltiMaker Cura
Try exporting model in "obj" format .........I use it with Blender a lot -
Yes, rather have the product manger focus on more important issues.....Log File in my personal data banks when if it happens again.....
-
Somehow "Profile" Search Setting changed.....Expert is a "Expert" Just refreshing different settings solved the Problem.....THANK YOU Should a bug report be generated?

Changed my nozzle size to .8 and Only selectable is "Infill" is Density and Patterns. Nothing else. Changed nozzle back to .4 same results with "Infills" just density and patterns! Other features are also missing ..... S5 Printer any way to restore Profile without complete re-install of Cura? Thanks

Print Core is it Clean or Frosty Snowman in Town
RogueWave replied to RogueWave's topic in UltiMaker Cura
Thank You.....Previous filament was white in color! -
After several, several, several times cleaning core, it still is a pit frosty in color. The tip is OK, broke off by me. Surface is smooth by touching and under magnificent looks fine....no rough surfaces.... Thanks

My experience tells me the model geometry is in question. Look over it in a render or wire frame mode

S5 printing a model, 26 hours in, and nozzle clogged! Like to have the ability to change nozzle instead of starting from square one.. Can this feature be addressed technically? Thanks Happy New Year Printings

Like to confirm the layer being actually being printed to Cura's preview mode. it's a way to check selection chosen are printed the way you want. For example, have a print with two colors, like to see the start of the second color being printed compared to Cura's Preview mode and layer number Thanks Bill

Here is a video of the operation r and r the fan plus the whole print head!!! Enjoy
-
Thanks very helpful found the problem ….. base of fan ….black wire broke off will order the capacitor also as a precaution …..all the heat with no cooling
-
Thanks for your advice....certainly will find the issue.....any video on removing checking/replace the fan?
-
I watched the printing for 10 minutes or more and the fan does not work but printing fine 210C pla. I have the Air manager does that cool the nozzle? Fan spins good with slight blast of air… I cleaned the filament feeder, Bowden tube, and the nozzle.. printing for 4 hours now no issue layers very good…. Will check over your recommendations later. Thanks again for the feedback
-
yes, fan check ok ......... but now wonder might work off and on at times, not constant operation.......will observe more closely fan speed thanks for your reply

Have the same issue on two different times, have clean fan on the second time, some small particles, and happen again after 4 hours on a 8 hour print. Layer quality very poor for most of the print and filament in feeder grind away again…. Filament stuck in core and swelled up in Bowden tube. Though it might be a bad core installed another core did not solve the problem what is next?

Using BASF TPU 85A Filament
RogueWave replied to brennal's topic in Third party products & modifications
I bought that filament, tried it, and got a refund on the return.....a lot of wasted time That was about six months ago .....has it got better yet? -
One of my test prints is similar to the second photo, lumpy small bubbles in print on my S5. In my case increasing the layer height decrease/removed the issue.... maybe the expermental feature "Adaptive Layers" might help but it sure will reduce print time.... Sure bed temp is in right range/clean glass plate start clean slate etc.
-
I just finished with your problem a few days ago on my S5, but with no error message....Clean up took hours .make sure the contacts on the core are clean propertly if you touched them Try another print core.... I have not tried my flooded core yet it looks BAD

A few seconds before bed leveling operation starts, significant amout of oozing prevents the level operation to be completed. Have to clean off the oozed from the nozzle, then things are fine After bed level has finish, just before the actual print operation starts, print head is moving to fisrt layer to be printed, oozing from the nozzle again..... To summerize, oozing starts just before bed leveling and just before start of actual print operation.... sometime the oozing at bed leveling not enought to prevent abort other times it will and small oozing compared to bed oozing no real issue on print quality so far. Oozing started recently too many times, not before, have 4.12.1 What's the causes of oozing? Thanks
