ok,   'There's no such thing as bad publicity'   may not be entirely true  :p

Media: NSFU (not suited for Ultimaker)

With this comment you did kinda 'fix' a bug we noticed yesterday.

When 'sharing' a post (clicking that button) you don't copy the URL but copy the words 'inappropriate'. Which in this specific case.. is kinda true :p

I do appreciate your creativity, but when even the forum says it is inappropriate.. sorry, but it gotta go ;)

I would preffer a visit to the secret R & D site at Ultimaker (with nondisclosure agreement and all that ofc).

Well, some people did sort of win a price like that already. Not from a competition, but from just being excellent members of the Ultimaker community.

daid is the one that created cura. He started working on it for free in his spare time and was later hired by Ultimaker to work on it full time. That's what nallath was referring to. (something similar happened for me as well)

Same goes for fieldOfView. We recently hired him based on his work to Cura as well.

And there are more people who found a role in Ultimaker after having started as a dedicated user.

@gr5 @titus I think both of you are right. There is quite a large number of posts. But many of them are duplicates of questions asked quite a few times. Either people are too lazy too search the forum or the old posts cannot be found. Something to investigate for UM...

And a lot of posts are currently about missing features of the new Cura. The deDeugd post with the missing features should somehow be more prominent.

There are quite few posts about really new things. Quite some action is going on in the dual head setup section what I can see. IMHO this is mainly because it's summer. But it also means there are no new problems with Ultimaker machines. And this is certainly not a bad thing... ;)

Well the search leaves a lot to be desired, when one does go to use it (no sorting, etc.)

What search? Is there any feature here on the forum you could call a 'search'? :(

'Mark as read' still doesn't work on the 'topic' view btw... I mentioned this once or twice...

@Dim3nsioneer, I know. And it is noted.

Unfortunately it didn't fit the last sprint, with the Ultimaker 2+ preparations and all.

I think when I first mentioned it, the schedule was also already made.

But it's on the list :)

So is search improvement, (and ghost notifications). Unfortunately, some improvements aren't as easy to implement than others. But we are working on it!

The page loading recently became slow like hell (Chrome).

    Tapatalk integration isn't there.

And yes, if moving that stupid "Buy now" button a few millimeters away took a few weeks, I have no expectations from the developers of this forum any longer.

Our current frequency in doing upgrades is once every 2 weeks. If I am not mistaking, after the buy now button, which has always been in the menu, we moved it away from the notification week the launch later.

I'm also using Chrome and everything is the same for me.

What operating system are you using?

    Win 7 and Win 8.1, both 64bit.

    Wait!

Tried the forum from my Windows Phone and IE11 from the same PC where Chrome is slow. The response time seems to be more or less acceptable.

BTW, the "log in" option is carefully hidden under the "sign up" option. Very clever! :p

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
