  3. sugarpop! store Cactus

I did give up on wood filaments long ago, exactly a year ago, mainly because changing nozzles on umo hurts the aluminium block quite fast. Also because I didn't found enough cooling for the speed I wanted to use.
This it's printed with my um2fancap for umo+ (doesn't work for um2 frame) with a 0.6 nozzle at 70mm/s 0.3 layers, and retracts on (but optimized on speed and amount so the weak wood filament doesn't break).
I'm quite happy with the result specially since it takes just 1h and 10mins to print.
The flower it's printed on 2 parts, glued, and then glued with epoxy to the cactus.

  5. TV Stand

This was made to lift up our TV in it's cabinet. As the cabinet was custom made with stained wood it was difficult to get a cheap shelf made:). This design needed to have a full bottom so we can turn the TV in place without the front leg falling over the edge. I designed it in Inventor with hollow voids in the legs which more than halved the amount of plastic needed. Sorry about the poor photos. It's fairly hard with black plastic.

  6. Philips Senseo lever support replacement

Remade a part from the Philips Senseo (Type HD 7810) coffee machine who was broken by too much pressure on it.
It serves the lever to be up or down and so to lock or unlock the capsule in the chamber.
Printed in 1mm diameter nozzle on UM2, it was very quick ! Let's fight the obsolescence with 3D Printing (:
You can watch the video on Youtube. They talked about us on French TV news !

  7. Retro gaming console, Rpi, 3d printed.

My first project will be a retro console, I also had access to a 3D printer and make my own case for this little toy.
Here the impression of the case

    STEP 1. Gather materials:
To set up a Recalbox, you need the following:
A Raspberry Pi 2 (I took the Starter kit with Wifi)
A micro SD card with at least 16GB
    An HDMI cable
    A Bluetooth key
A joystick PS3, XBOX360 (wireless and that's the one I chose) or a USB joystick.
A Wired USB keyboard or wireless keyboard
    software:
    Recalbox
SD Card Formatter - MAC or WINDOWS
Once you have gathered all these components, you can proceed to Step 2 and install recalboxOS on your SD card.

    STEP 2. Install recalboxOS.
It's time to download and install recalboxOS
Visit https://github.com/digitalLumberjack/recalbox-os/releases/latest to download the latest version of recalboxOS. You can install recalboxOS on a FAT32 formatted card. For this, use the formatting software available at https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/pour Windows and MacOSX, Linux or gparted, remember to select "full erase" to erase the map data otherwise it does not work.
Unzip the file recalboxOS.zip and copy all the files in the base of your SD card.
Insert the micro SD in raspberry, connect the HDMI, keyboard and power supply. Your raspberry load the installer, select recalboxOS with SPACE and install with I.
    You now have a recalbox

  12. Columns!

finally after about two days of OpenSCAD and printing, here is a desktop organizer with a greco-roman theme. Why do desktop organizers have to be so smooth and devoid of theme or features? I want dragons on my desk! Maybe hobbits and jet airplanes and ray guns and ant colonies! And columns for starters! This is just a frame with no bottoms so I think it's suitable for larger items like mail or cologne or toothpaste and toothbrushes, somesuch. Needs glue and maybe paint (maybe not). KInda boxy for an out-of-box thinker to create lol!

  15. Aliens 2 Marine Spacecraft

A modified model i pulled of the web, very bad in terms or polygons, and i had to drop two guns, and there are a few holes as well, but apart from that i am quite happy.

  17. Wedding pins

For the wedding of a friend, I had the honor to print her small 6 pins.
The design is basically a custom stamp for their wedding by Mydearpaper and modeling of an other friend.
    I used a 0.15mm diameter nozzle.
A layer of golden bomb was sprayed over by him.

  21. DupliGator

I credit the Lord Jesus Christ for all things I do because I know I could do nothing without Him. In fact, it is my personal belief that all of my insights and ideas originate from Him.
This hand tool / machine duplicates prints and other simple objects in wax, clay, and other soft materials. You attach a print with glue stick or double sided tape or other adherent to one gear / platform and the working material to the other. then you operate the tool arm, cutting away as needed while turning the gear and following with the tool arm.
I named this thing after the Florida Gators, the University of Florida mascot because it's my sister's alma mater.
I have developed a fascination with hand-operated machines since becoming a 3D printing enthusiast two and a half years ago, and now I am finally making my first machine. This design has too much play, so next thing to do is reduce the play in the tool arm, mostly by widening the hinge i believe.

  25. Rough Wood-effect Chest

This was an experiment in achieving a 'real' wood effect using ColorFabb Woodfill filament.
ColorFabb filament is great stuff, but it didn't give me the 'real' wood surface finish i was looking for.
So i designed and modelled this simple little chest, spending a lot of time creating the wood grain texture onto all surfaces and faux Dovetail joints. And to complete, i just had to add some hinges and a latch.
    Printed in ColourFabb Woodfill http://colorfabb.com/woodfill-fine
    and
    Faberdashery Robot Siver PLA http://www.faberdashery.co.uk/products-page/print-materials/robot-silver/
The file sizes are quite large - sorry about that, but the wood texture surface effect needed a high model poly-count to achieve the detail. I may see if can optimise those.
    Enjoy!
