Fork / Spoon Handle
By dbrgn
My wife occasionally has problems with her joints. When they hurt and are swollen, she can barely hold a fork or spoon in her hand.
There is "orthopedic" cuttlery with thicker handles that can be bought, but they're usually expensive and/or ugly. We wanted something that would benefit everyone by making a 3D-printable handle for widely used (and easily available) IKEA forks.
Goals:
modify / improve a fork so that it can be used by people with joint problems
it needs an "angled" surface, so that it's easier to grip
it should fit a regular IKEA Dragon fork and/or spoon
it should be removable, so that the forks can be washed in a regular dishwasher
it should be easy to print without support material
I designed the handle in OpenSCAD so that the parameters could be customized if someone wants a thicker handle or has a different fork. It fits both the fork and spoon in the IKEA Dragon cuttlery set. The source code can be found here, licensed as CC BY-SA so that others can profit too.

Taille: les fichiers STL à 80% = figurine de 16,5 cm de hauteur C'est la taille des figurines sur les photos

umo(+) delux mounting assembly for RaspPi camera
By peetersm
Mount a Raspberry Pi camera+wide angle lens+ LED lights inside your printer.
I made this design to solve/address the following:
1. Clean looking mount for RasPi camera and lights inside frame.
2. Increase viewing angle of camera.
3. Light the print bed for camera.
I like Octoprint for viewing my prints AND taking time-lapse movies of print jobs. I did not want a camera hanging off outside of the printer, I wanted it to be inside the frame if possible. I also wanted to have light since sometimes the room is dark. I wanted as little hacking to the printer as possible (just a few drill holes in the frame).
SO this is what I made. When the camera is inside the frame it needs the help of a wide angle lens to see the whole print bed. I also decided to power the LEDs from the Pi to reduce the power supplies I would need. There are a bunch of photos to show my process. I will try to add better instructions later.

Crossflow Cooling for UM2
By avogra
This is a first try to bring the laminar crossflow cooling invented by @foehnsturm to the Ultimaker 2 without having to lay hands on your beloved shiny printer ;)It is attached with Tesa Powerstrips. Intention is, that air circulates through the fans and the long nozzle, across the printing layer, down left of the build-plate and back into the fans. The radial fans (Titan TTC-003) are quite cheap (<10€ each). I didn't want to waste filament and printing time on the large flat surfaces so instead I included some 0.8mm acrylic glas I had around.
When I'm satisfied this hopefully gives all the UM2 owners a cheap and simple way of a crossflow cooling.
It has still some shortcomings:
airflow is a bit weak
some air goes through the top and the front instead of around the buildplate
airflow widens and decreases from right to left
Right now it improves overhangs when combined with the stock fans but is too weak as the only cooling. Unfortunately the nozzle has to be that thin to prevent collision with the fan shroud.
Ideas for improvement are
a recessed cover for the front so the air is forced around the buildplate
an airguide on the left side, so that also with the buildplate lowered, the air is sucked in at the height of the current printing layer, maybe even equipped with another set of fans
a wider airnozzle to increase airflow and removing the stock fans and fan shroud

Ultimaker Original Plus - Penstock
By aerobubulle
This penstock can be used with a computer fan to guide the air away from the bottom of the UMO+ and cool the electronics. The square opening should directed towards the back of the printer and placed next to the back left foot. ! Be careful, you'll need to raise the UMO+ by approximately 4 centimeters. ! ~ Designed for a special case. ~
I cut the design into 2 parts to avoid having supports I can't remove in the tube. There are still some left, but I find them easier to remove.

Bowden tube clamp for the UM2 extruder feeder
By umagi
I made this to prevent the bowden tube from popping out of the feeder. For some reason on my self-built printer, this usually happens during the print of the first layer (starting with the brim).
Since the tube is pushed out with quite some force, I resorted to this design, which combines the function of the shoehorse clip (to lift the ring fitting) and of a 25mm clamp, which squeezes the bowden tube to hold it firmly in place.
The design is for a 4mm external diameter bowden tube (1.75mm diameter filament).

Random Shroud
This is a random part for a machine at work.
We were very impressed how it turned out since it has thin walls and big overhangs.
I used the FAST settings in S3D with a few modifications.
The filament is 3D Universe PLA.
