  1. Cool. Makes me realise how useless I am, just pi$$ing around printing useless stuff lol. I need a worthwhile project!
  2. I dont have first-hand experience but I have been considering buying one too. I have been hearing/reading great feedback about these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/EVOLUTION-SILVERLINE-Airbrush-One-cup/dp/B003Z9VYHQ Not the cheapest, but I think spending a little extra on airbrushes is a wise thing to do.. dont forget to consdier the compressor too.
  3. Colorfabb, Faberdashery etc are such good quality compared to a lot of PLA.

If it is his first trip to Israel, maybe he will do some sight seeing? Print him a model of a famous building that you will take him to see? Maybe the Tel Aviv Museum or the YMCA in Jerusalem.
  5. @Blizz, TinyDancer Yeah I hate those end of rolls. I used to re-coil them and use them, but lately I cant be bothered and just leave them until I need a small bit of filament for a poor quality job. TinyDancer... I love that song! Nice job on the Yoda Didier! Is he from Thingiverse?>
  6. Also send out emails and ask for a small sample. Grab your calipers and measure it, I do this all the time when I order new stuff, Colorfabb, Faberdashery is pretty bang on at 2.85 all the time.
  7. I dont really know stargate so thought the hex shapes were on purpose lol
  8. The older children amongst us may remember these metal springy toys that we used to get, remember letting the fall down the stairs ? Anyway, rather than print one... I seem to get a FREE one at the end of every ultimaker coil of filament
  9. Looks great Dirk !! 10 hours seems long for that though
  10. I just heat it up to 100 degree and use my bare fingers... cos Im tough
  11. Oh no 0235 you do sound pretty pi$$ed off ...Is this an unheated bed on a UMO?
  12. That looks awesome SP3D! What material is that? Yeah was such a simple enjoyable print. I have still NOT touched my bronzefill version, I kinda like the rough bronze look... but it will get polished one day.

Print him his own personal Guinness Glass
  14. Last time i printed at that speed Labern, I ended up with a clogged nozzle.. Atomic method solved it. maybe coincidence that I was using bronze, but never clogged before. Colorfab also suggest a slightly faster flow. I have also printed a bit with it at normal speed though!
  15. Your right PM, i thought about adding some supports but went without, worked quite well. Slightly rough underside but not too bad. Printing with Bronzefill is tricky because I find that to get a better flow of material its good to print quickly, a little quicker than you normally would with standard PLA...normally i would try printing small sharp teeth quite slowy but not with this. There is a sabretooth tiger skull too...
  16. @ Nico yeah I should really polish it...after-all I did print it to see what bronzefill looked like when polished, I havent post worked any bronzefill yet, im too lazy @Didier... Yep, Printed perfectly with no supports. Its a great model. There are a few rougher patches, but who cares when your printing a Dinosaur Fossil lol I fancied doing a much larger version. but this was already total 16 hours. Was worried about bronzefill clogging on the last 10 minutes of a 40 hour print lol
  17. I could not resist printing one of the T-Rex skulls from MakerBot Academy, found here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:308335 Images are straight off the printer. Printed in two parts using Bronzefill. 50mms @ 210c, bed@60. Increase flow rate to 105% Can I be bothered to try and polish any of it to actually look like bronze?? One day... Print orientation of the two parts.
  18. BaasB... really nice man, great post work!
  19. Hi djyeo, welcome to the forum. Those small objects don`t allow the plastic PLA to cool down enough, so the material is too warm and soggy. Try printing two or three at once ( you need to select this option in Cura ). Otherwise, place another similar size object next to it and print, this allows the material to cool a little whilst the head travels to the other parts.
  20. thats quite normal duffy... happens a lot. What version of cura are you using? I find that 14.12.1 tends to push more material out at the start which can help it flow a bit before it starts the print.
  21. Even simple cardboard on top and front helps. Have a quick browse through this too: http://umforum.ultimaker.com/index.php?/topic/7211-um2-enclosure-plan/
  22. Unfortunately I dont see your images. Search the forum on how to upload them, it is a pain in the a$$.
