  1. Yeah looking great! Cant wait to see the maiden flight
  2. +1 however give us some better pics, its hard to tell whats going on!
  3. The only way I am "trying" to make money is by selling a product that I designed and prototyped on mu UM2 At the moment I am printing the "final hu huh" design before it goes to a manufacturer for a real metal working prototype for testing. Cross fingers I would love to make a few extra quid with the printer, if only to pay for the filament, but I just am too lazy or cant find the time!
  4. I wish these "yanks" would admit that its called A L U M I N I U M

  9. I was printing a large "full bed" object yesterday and had to abort 3 times due to those DAMN CLIPS holding the glass bed on. As soon as I can I will change those!
  10. Great project! I keep telling myself I should get involved in a humanitarian type project but the boring worky type stuff must come first :(

  13. Bronzefill - straight off the printer. Too lazy to polish at the moment
  14. I love that skull model. I have used acetone and PLA but instead of dipping ( oh wow wear gloves or use sticks lol ) I carefully brushed the areas that I wanted smooth, works well yeah. I recently printed that makerbot skull in bronzefill....hmmm wonder what acetone does to that
  15. Henri, Congrats on your upgrade purchase and welcome to the forum. So lovely to hear you positive review. I am sure you will have many more positive experiences with the UM2 like we all have You are in the safest of hands with fbrc8 !
  16. yup looks like a kids version.. bring on the manly version that`s 5 times as big as UM2 and has triple extruders
  17. Yeah I agree, try re leveling and go slightly closer than you did last time..tougher to pull the paper out
  18. Destiny for me... sh*t that`s addictive. Stopping playing it from NOW>
  19. Wakey Wakey Robert .. you`ve had enough sleep now !!!
  20. Thanks for posting your results Sjel, glad that you have had some success. Sometimes its the simple things that help. Very early on in my printing stage I had some big issues with underextrusion and feeder skipping and I started to eliminate things one by one. Changing to Faberdashery filament which was uncoiled did help me too and I have never gone back to rolled filaments since ( Apart from colorfab ).
  21. It is recommended to increase flow to approx 105-108% although some users don`t increase flow at all. I too found that the base layers were more difficult to predict and they look much worse than standard PLA layers. I would perhaps put a larger diameter circle around that object to allow the material to get flowing nicely before it reaches those more intricate parts. I also had some success lowering my temps to 205-200...although not sure this was just fluke.
  22. Qmaker, I have printed quite a bit using bronzefill and there is no noticable damage so far. It seems unlikely that the material will damage the nozzle... ok maybe after thousands of hours... but certainly no reason to stay away from these materials. Give bronzefilll a try i`m sure youll love it.
  23. Great info Rob and very helpful to anybody new to printing. Your putting in a lot of work on these helpful doc`s so big cheers to you mate !
