  1. I have to run some tests on that side but I only have a front panel. I just need some free print time which is rare these days...
  2. When I saw "I have a shipment of 10 sitting in New York for about a week now" I said "WHAAAT!?!?" lol
  3. nallath maybe you can tell this to the sales team so they stop shipping the printer with that material?
  4. you could probably see other results with an enclosed print space.
  5. nice chart. I like the fact that no fan result in a way more constant surface
  6. Macua, We are looking at the exact same issue on the horizontal lines on another thread too. http://umforum.ultimaker.com/index.php?/topic/6907-horizontal-banding-on-um2/page-4 A good portion of this topic is not so related but the fact that this is very constant match with later reported issue. For the vertical lines you are seeing the result of the x&y axis precision. We have discussed that here: http://umforum.ultimaker.com/index.php?/topic/7966-vertical-lines-striations-on-fairphone-case/ Turning the piece sideways to use more of the two axis on an almost planar surface result in reduced effect of the precision.
  7. Hi, I'm trying to replace both side fans at the moment to see if I can reduce the noise level (especially at low speed). Since I replaced the rear fan with a quiet one I can now hear the side fans produce a high pitch sound at low speed and its very unpleasant. I did get 2 12V fans and connected them but it wont work. Even at 100% the fans dont start. http://addison-electronique.com/catalog/product/view/id/18839/s/ventilateur-12-vdc-30mm-x-10mm/ The fan themselves work because if I leave one of the original one and prevent it from spinning the other one starts and run at full power. Any clue what could cause the fans not to run? I can feel the tension going in the fan and sometimes see the fan trying to start but with no luck.
  8. At that speed and layer size you should be able to print at lower temp. 200C or even lower
  9. That's the zetoff shroud. I did add a cover over the huge zetoff logo BUT did write it back in a smaller format for the sake of respect . The fans are running at 50%
  10. Its a good point. I can run a few test prints and show the difference with and without the door.
  11. Are the bands equal on the entire layer or are they shifting from one layer to the other? I'm asking because the bed could be moving sideways on z step.
  12. Are you refering to the horizontal lines or the vertical lines?
  13. Si c'est comme le protopasta non merci. Par contre si c'est plus fort que le PLA et XT alors je suis preneur (avec un nozzle extra).
  14. Hi Celso, The slicing process take a slice of the geometry and create polygons from it along the that z height. If the slice is not closed than it can't properly define how the face behave. Since the system doesn't create volume (it uses volume) then it will create random results. How could the software tell that this section need to grow and the other need to be constrained to the available space? There is an option in the expert settings to keep the open faces. I don't know if it will do what you want but you can try. The thing with the wall width is that it doesn't create geometry. It just fill volume available with a shell thickness and leave the remaining space available for the infill mostly to save material and print time. PM
  15. Thats pretty weird. Did you contact support?
  16. Puisqu'il sont au canada je les ai contacter. Ils sont en beta présentement. On vera bien si ils vont me répondre.
  17. My latest print in NinjaFlex. The client was kind enough to let me share the pictures but I have no clue what this is suppose to be. I gotta say this is the cleanest print I did so far. 0.15mm layers, 30mm/s, 30% infill, 230C, Roberts feeder, filament unrolled in advance, no oil.
  18. The best quality prints are mostly around 30mm/s because you can print colder and colder mean the string of filament is more solid and will resist better to bridging.
  19. Hi Taires, Any luck getting it to work? Your log doesn't contain any errors. Are you sure you are starting the Cura associated with that version? I ask because I usually have 4 different versions installed and sometimes start the wrong one by mistake. Can you try with a different version of Cura? https://software.ultimaker.com/
  20. Hi Hugues, You may want to get the build plate a little closer to the nozzle. Use the screws and twist them counter clockwise to get the build plate to lift. You can put 2-3 skirt lines to give you some time to do this while the print is starting.
  21. I dont think so. For the fans they are progressively being activated in order to reach the given speed at a specified height. These can be found in the expert settings of cura.
  22. A good tension will reduce risk of slipping and the filament guide will prevent the filament from bending between the extruder and the bowden entry.
