  1. I might be wrong since I never tested dual extrusion but I believe you can simply add T1 at the top of the gcode to tell it to set that nozzle as active.
  2. Ok well for now just install a previous firmware if this one is causing you issues.
  3. Hi Joe, Welcome to the forum. Can you please provide some more information in regard to your print settings? temp, speed, layer height? Also can you tell the printing time so far with your UM2? You can find that info in the advanced menu on the UM2. Its probably a partially clogged nozzle. Have you tried doing the atomic pull (also know as cold pull) method a few times?
  4. can you post the output_log.txt? should be in: C:Users<username>.cura15.01output_log.txt
  5. Hi Anton, Welcome to the forum. Have you tried with less spheres just to test? What is the error? You can probably do it in most 3d packages with scripting capabilities like Autodesk 3dsMax, Maya. Both have 30 day trials. Otherwise maybe Blender has some scripting part.
  6. The feature was added in 15.01. Do you still have the issue? If so can you post your output_log.txt?
  7. Agreed. I see only issues dealing with such small numbers when a 0.02mm (20 microns) layer become 0.0007874016 inch doesn't make it any useful. It gets worst when requesting support when the numbers are not in the good unit. Maybe having an import option to scale the units as inches (x 25.4) but stay in mm all the way.
  8. You probably know this already but you can set the unit type at export of your stl in many packages so you can keep working in inches but export in mm. I guess it could be done in some other way too
  9. I just looked at it on my mac running version 10.9.3. As a new user the property gets added properly and the default path is set to /Users/<username>/ and If I remove the path it will save like it used to do. Did you guys use 15.01_RC10 or RC11 beta versions prior to using the 15.01 release?
  10. Thanks I'll look it up. I made that change... It shouldnt trigger issues when not defined. Actually not defined should disable the feature.
  11. did you try to turn the printer off and back on? probably the abort took place during a retraction. There is a pair of commands G10/G11 for retraction.
  12. I'll have to check it out on mac. Maybe some bug on that side when the path is empty. Basically the replication base folder is there so you can structure content (stl, obj files...) on your disk from that folder (and sub-folder). Whatever you bring in Cura from that folder or sub-folders will also be saved at the same place on the sd card. Here is how it work: (windows path for the examples) Base path set in preferences: C:Userspm_dudeDocuments I then load this file in cura: C:Userspm_dudeDocumentsorders1234321case.stl When saving on the sd card (E: in my case)the folders will be created and the .gcode file will be saved at: E:orders1234321case.gcode If the stl was coming from anywhere outside from the base folder the gcode will be saved like before directly on the E:
  13. you can easily do it in Cura with the Pause at Z plugin
  14. oups did you get the memo? Ultimaker stopped working on dual extrusion for the UM2.
  15. Vive Sketchup. Les edges ouvert qui se connect ne cause pas de problème visible en xray mais dans le slice oui. Personnelement j'aime mieux DSM (Design Spark Mechanical)
  16. I still believe using a UM2 is a very expensive recipient for doing this type of thing... Good to know the process though
  17. Hi Markus, They are located in the .cura folder on Windows. ex: C:Users<username>.cura<cura version>current_profile.ini
  18. Hi, Welcome to the forum! Your print suffer under extrusion. Under extrusion can come from A LOT of things so lets start with the basic . The nozzle could be partially clogged causing the filament to extrude less then it should. Have you tryed doing the atomic pull method a few times (also know as cold pull)? How many print hours does your UM2 has? you can see that on the UM2 directly in the Advanced menu. After some time anything between 300 and 800 hours of printing the teflon coupler (white piece above the nozzle) deform and start adding a lot of pressure on the filament making it harder and harder for the feeder to get the filament through. Is the feeder grinding material? Do you use the original feeder? If so it might be good to open the front cover of the feeder and remove any filament that could have accumulated there. Lets start with that. PM
  19. Yes I was going to try with 14.03. I'll do it as soon as I can which will hopefully be before changing to the custom block
  20. Do you see the saved path at the bottom of Cura like you normally see? There was a change in this version that now save the gcode file in a sub-folder (on the sd card) if the stl file is under a given replication folder. That folder is defined in the preferences (File->Preferences->SD Card settings).
  21. Hi Paps, What firmware version do you have on your UM2? You can see that in the Advanced menu directly on the UM2. It would be weird by now but if you have anything prior to 14.07 you will have a bug in the consistency of the bed leveling. If its not the case and the priming is fine then you are putting the bed too close to the nozzle making causing it to not be able to extrude filament. You can use the 3 screws under the bed during the skirt to tweak your bed leveling a little. Turn clockwise to lower the bed.
