It's the nature of extruding plastic. It's kinda acts like chewing gum an pulls in on circles. Better cooling, more accurate temp sensors and feeders will always help to some degree.

Well don't get to upset yet till you talk to them. They maybe able to work something out.

Tape the end of the wires from the new heater to the element end of the old heater and pull the old one out. just guide the new one in as your pulling the old one out so the tape doesn't pull off or get caught. You may need to remove the clips that hold the bowden tube on.

I would just talk to the supplier. It would be good to have the + model in the long run. They will release an upgrade kit later so maybe the supplier could help you out with that when it comes. By the way, the plus model is meant to be the same price. as advertised by Ultimaker.

I have my printed shroud which is simular on my 2go and it fits fine.

Not the feeder as it's reversed and it's too bulky Sounds like a challenge

So i guess the UM2 upgrade kit will have different mounting holes then the ones for the UM2+ as I cant see the top/Bottom feeder holes like ones that are in the new feeder.

I wonder if there is a possibility of printing an skeletonised outer cover. I'm just curious how well the geared feeder works on small items if it will be more accurate.

You will have to wait some more for that. Q1 Sometime.

There is ones like the bondtech or you could just wait for the UM extruder kit.

@Titus you missed the PTFE changes. Different material and spring set up. Might not have an impact for you but hopefully it's a big step forward in reliability for UM2 owners. Well ones that haven't hacked their printers with spring replacements and PTFE upgrades from 3d solex.

Yes they have done a lot of testing will quite a few different designs and have come up with some really good results. There are manufacturing limitations to get the symmetrical design but I think you will find that the new one will be pretty good.

So does this new "Extrusion Upgrade" kit come with the new finger saving clips 2?

Yes. AL the new nozzles have the sizes on them. Also some of them have a different external shape compared to the old ones.

Can you see where on the website has the most bouncing? You might find there is a lot that do not contribute to the forum are just there to download or check cura. There seems to be a lot of people just read on the forum but don't actually participate. I get likes from a few.

It's normal for inner holes to be smaller then outer dimensions when it prints. Have a read of THIS as it explains it quite well

Just use an old tooth brush and scrub them in place. For all the work involved to remove them and clean them you might as well just leave them till you need to replace them.
